This was written for Whump of July prompt 9, Flatline, but it also fulfills the prompt for the 19th Froday madness as one of the sub tags for the Fix-It tag is the Character Death Fix tag.

Life was a free fall from which one didn't know when they would hit bottom, but Regulus and Lyra hit bottom at the same time without knowing how a chance meeting will change both of their lives. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. This is written for ONC 2021. The prompt I used is number thirteen, "a storm is raging outside, but you're cozy at home reading a story. When the lights go out, you figure it's the result of the storm, but when they come back on, you've been transported into the alternative aftermath of the book you finished reading. Where are you and what happens?" This is in conjunction with prompt fourteen, "You wake up in the middle of a battle of your favorite game. Who are you fighting and how does the game end?" and sixteen, "The story is finished. The end! Now everyone can go home. By that, there's a world where all the characters live, and guess what? You, dear creator, have stumbled upon it. Now, what's your tale?"

In Kreacher's mind the worst punishment he could suffer was the death of a beloved master, but he'd gladly take any other punishment Regulus wanted including sufferings like that which he'd suffered by drinking the potion,. Specifically, it's the start of the prequel series for a one-shot I wrote where Neville Longbottom is the boy who lived. The first attempt at a first chapter didn't work and then when I went to write the actual first chapter of the original first story I wanted to write, I found myself realizing I would be going further back, yet I also realized Regulus living would actually change things for everyone, including which boy Voldemort would in fact choose, though depending on what happens after the first chapter - because there are so many possibilities including other possibilities in regards to Regulus and him living, all of which would have profound effects on the plot.

Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. The original intent of the Upside Down Mirror series was to simply write a prequel for the original one-shot which was a story where Neville was the Boy-Who-Lived, which the other Upside Down Mirror piece definitely is, but it also turned unintentionally into a Regulus Lives project, but as I wrote the first chapter of the other one I got to thinking about Regulus asking for Sirius' help. The reason for this comes from the fact I'd gone back to reread a few scenes in the books when I wanted to double check a few details and read the part where Harry describes Regulus as being smaller than Sirius, but then I got to thinking that Regulus might actually have been small enough, but at age eighteen he wouldn't have reached his peak in muscle weight either. I also got to thinking of how Sirius's disdain towards Regulus might not have anything to do with Regulus himself, but the fact he blames his parents and himself for what happened to his younger brother. As for the autism headcanon, that occurred as I wrote the first chapter in that I realized the way I was writing Regulus, he did indeed have the traits of someone on the spectrum. It's not something which will be verbalized as this is a time when he wouldn't have been diagnosed, but to me it explains Regulus' behavior a lot.

Sirius gets an irrational idea into his head, but he decides to act upon said irrational idea, only to discover something. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. This was written for the 18th Froday Madness for Froday Flash Fiction Challenge where the theme is sharing a bed. I had a lot of ideas pop into my head, but it was rather hard to resist Sirius being Sirius as one of the tags indicate, but it involves two of my favorite altenative universe headcanon, Regulus living and Hermione being his daughter. It also involves me enjoying giving her a sibling, or in this case two, because Rowling mentioned she had originally planned on doing so yet she never got around to doing so.
