While her mom had been in rehab for seven months, Soraya spend the time with her uncle in a small town. Things happened there, she swore she would never tell someone. So when now, half a year later her mother decides to move them both in with her new boyfriend and his son, Soraya hopes she can forget it all and start a new life in this little town near the mountains. But once again, her already shitty life decides to turn even shittier. Now basically being surrounded by criminal gang members 24/7, Soraya is again confronted with her past. But at least there is TJ.

Hot shot is an active and playful child. He lives with his parents Heatwave and Quickshadow. They live in Fort Worth Texas. They live a very happy life there. However soon Hot shot begins to feel unwell. He has a headache, he has nausea with vomiting, he is tired, he is cranky, he is walking funny, his is losing his coordination, he is falling down a lot, he is seeing two of everything, have weird eye movements, has a head tilt and a stiff neck. On the week before his fifth birthday Hot shot has to be taken to Cook Children's hospital. Hot shot has an MRI done and other tests done. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a type of brain tumor that is brain cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to fight his cancer head on with his stuffed Rhino Roxy who he got as a present. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together and become the best of friends. They are determined to win too! (Humanized)

He has a headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he is tired, and he is cranky. He is feeling so bad one night his parents rush him to the ER of Cook Children's hospital. There Hot shot is admitted for being sick and was in a lot of pain. A hospitalist who is caring for Hot shot is worried and decides a scan is needed. The next morning she sends Hot shot to get an MRI. Then Hot shot is discovered to have a brain tumor. The brain tumor gets a biopsy sample. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor or ATRT a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight his cancer. He makes friends with seven other kids in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt. (Humanized)
