In the ruins of the old world, more than the body survives-faith survives. It lives in blood, belief, and heritage.
When the zombie apocalypse erupted, the world collapsed. But one order endured-a sectarian society that worships darkness and death. Once a unified organization led by the Council of the High Priest and High Priestess, it grew over the years and splintered into separate factions, each ruled by its own leaders. Yet they still honor the single source of their faith and maintain a fragile alliance built on respect for the original throne.
But the United States, now controlled by the FEMMOS military junta, saw the rise of this society as a threat. So they reached for a new weapon. A weapon meant not only to destroy-but to erase them.
The factions that survived retreated to the place where their faith was born-the city of Des Moines.
Here, a new chapter begins.
The protagonist is Erika, daughter of the original High Priest and High Priestess. She was once the rightful heir to the throne, but was dethroned-because she is a woman. Her rebellion gave rise to a renegade faction that follows her and worships her as the Mother of the New World. Erika refused to abandon her inheritance. With her loyal followers, she settles in a decaying church on the outskirts of Des Moines-waiting, watching, preparing.
But in the meantime, Des Moines has been reclaimed by her parents-the old order, returning to power. Yet the city is not empty. In its ruins survived a separatist faction that has completely diverged from the original faith and forged its own path. Its leader-a self-proclaimed High Priestess-claims the city as her sanctuary and refuses to submit. Her followers are dangerous, determined... and bloodthirsty.
As Erika slowly builds her strength and seeks allies among the other factions, tensions between the leaders rise. Each of them knows the fragile alliance could shatter at any moment. Each carries their own truth, their own wounds, their own ambitions.
