In a world where humanity was once blessed with divine powers, arrogance and greed took root. The people, blinded by their own strength, turned their gifts against the very gods who bestowed them. In response, the gods unleashed their fury upon the earth, casting a divine punishment that shattered civilizations and plunged the world into endless despair. This is a grimdark tale, set in a bleak, medieval world-deep in the heart of the Dark Ages. Hope is a fragile thing, and the only true goal for most is survival amidst the eternal chaos left in the wake of divine wrath. The land is scarred, the skies are silent, and monsters-both human and otherworldly-roam freely. Morality is twisted, trust is rare, and every day is a battle to simply stay alive. Now, centuries later, remnants of that ancient fury still echo through the land. Scattered survivors, cursed bloodlines, and god-touched beings struggle to endure. Amid this desolation, one soul rises-burdened with fate, chosen by neither god nor man-to stand against the ruins of divinity and face a destiny drenched in anguish.

"In Heavenly State, a sacred duty is fulfilled every 35 years. The time of Rebirth approaches, and the priests, their bones creaking like old wood, seek the chosen one: A boy of exactly 15 winters, with a soul so fragile God could shatter it just by whispering his name. The ritual will proceed as always: - With chants that make windows tremble - With sacrifices that stain the altar red - With the same silent ecstasy of all previous Rebirths Because the cycle is perfect. Because the bones of previous children are now dust beneath the sanctuary. Because God, like winter, always returns hungry."

In a place where faith rots slow and silence has a pulse, Lenora must decide whether she's uncovering her father's madness or inheriting his devotion. Because in Salem's Wake, there is no God. Only the one who remembers.

Beneath the towering spires and cold stone walls, the Church moves like a shadow over the land. Its priests speak in whispers laced with venom, their blessings tasting of iron and ash. They walk among the faithful cloaked in black, faces hidden, eyes faintly aglow beneath their hoods. Sermons twist scripture into chains, binding the minds of the devout, while behind the altar, unseen hands tighten their grip on the community's soul. The Sacrament they promise is not salvation, but something far darker-an offering to powers the cross cannot name.

A realm with nothing but sensation, and a squadron of invaders that feel no sensation. Ghosts against flesh. This is no tale of moral. Simply a slaughter of continental proportion. (Note that some abilities and qualities of the Trench Ghosts are fan-made, but still have relative grounding within the Trench Crusade, to the best of my abilities, namely the fear inducement being adapted from the tabletop's actual Trench Ghost ability to incite fear.)
