For centuries, the Cliffside Kingdom has endured because of an ancient bond between dragons and the riders they choose. But that bond is beginning to break. As winter closes in and rival kingdoms gather at the borders, whispers spread of dragons being bound against their will-an impossible act that threatens to unravel the very foundation of their world. Ryker has spent his life believing that everyone he loves is safer without him. Elara has spent hers trying to bury the memories that refuse to stay buried. When both are chosen by dragons whose mysterious connection defies ancient law, they are drawn into a conspiracy that reaches far beyond their kingdom-one capable of turning dragons into weapons and fear into power. As forgotten runes awaken and long-buried truths rise from history, they discover that the greatest battles are not always fought with swords or dragonfire, but within the stories people tell themselves. In a world where every rune remembers and every bond demands trust, Ryker and Elara must confront the wounds that have shaped them before they can stop a war that could destroy everything they love. Because healing isn't forgetting what happened. It's discovering that no one was ever meant to carry their story alone. Epic in scope yet deeply personal, The Cliffside Riders is a tale of dragons, ancient magic, sacrifice, and hope-a story about the courage to be known, the strength found in connection, and the bonds that remind us our scars are not the end of our story.

Rensa Okoye has spent three years chasing rumors along the coast, and most of them have led nowhere. But the map she buys from an old sailor named Emeric is different - it leads to a sea cave rumored to hide the Sunken Library of Kaeth, a four-hundred-year-old archive swallowed by the sea and long dismissed as legend. She finds it. What she doesn't expect is the second door deep inside - sealed not by stone or lock, but by a price no one has ever fully understood. To open it, you can't offer gold or courage. You have to give up a memory you'd never willingly let go of. As Rensa and her small crew - a loyal young diver named Tomas and a scholar named Mira who has spent eleven years trying to read a dead language - race to translate the book that might explain the door, a ruthless rival treasure hunter closes in behind them, chasing a grief of his own that he's spent thirty years refusing to name. What waits behind the door isn't wealth. It's the last surviving proof that memory, once nearly lost, can still be worth saving - and that some things are only found by first learning what you're willing to give up. A story about chasing the past, the cost of remembering, and what's left of us once grief has taken everything

We were supposed to forget. Supposed to forget the past year and wake up with a clean slate, a chance at redemption. You couldn't fight it, the government would find out - they find out everything. We were supposed to forget who we are, but I remembered. *** They say pain is relative. That nothing is permanent and everything will slowly fade back to normality. They say pain is normal, normal to be and live in constant fear for yourself and others around you. They say pain is 'not that big of a deal', when inside you want to scream and curl up on the floor, seeking human consolation. But, in my head, pain is all I know. It hurts. The white light invades my brain, my soul and my heart, reining control over my entire being. It drives out the precious laughs, tears, smiles and scowls, leaving me with a blank page. A 'clean slate' or 'a second chance' is what they called it. I saw through the facade, I saw the real intentions behind the programme - it didn't matter who or where we were, they had this constant need to suppress any form of living other than the way they wanted, a way to control the human race. But this year, this year would be different. I wasn't going to forget. No, I wasn't going to be Forgetting Me anytime soon.

This was the worst day of Steve's life. First, his boss for his new job, a clerk at the local grocery store, was a total ass to him and made him work all day, from 7 until 12, and he was just now getting home (the grocery store was quite a miles walk from his apartment.) Secondly, some jackass, who thought he was bigger and better than Steve (which he was, since he was stronger and more bulkier compared to Steve's skinny and unhealthy frame), tore up his notebook and threw his pencils and sketches into a puddle of water from the everlasting rain Brooklyn has had these past few days, completely ruining them and causing Steve to throw them away. And now, it was 3 in the morning, and someone was knocking, quite loudly and rather rudely, on his front door. Who the fuck would be knocking on his door at the 3 in the morning? What he didn't expect to see was his (supposedly) dead best friend, soaking wet from the rain and covered in blood, standing in the doorway with a grim expression on his face. "Bucky?" Yeah, this was definitely the worst day of Steve's life. Or, the fic where Steve never enlisted in the war and never got the serum, Bucky still becomes the Winter Soldier, and a lot of heartbreak, feelings, and angst is involved.
