How do you present proof of this religion to those who do not speak the language of the Arabs or know anything about the inimitable eloquence of the Qur'aan? Is it the only way for them to learn this language of the Arabs and to master its sciences? The answer, of course, is no. Allah, may He be Glorified and Exalted, has shown mercy to them and to all other generations by sending the appropriate evidence to all mankind, irrespective of their different races, languages, and times.

There's a most interesting segment of FQ's class. And that is learning a sentence or two (in Arabic) from the book from each lesson. Repeating it over and over again does help in getting you over the shyness or hesitation you feel with Arabic. Saying it out loud also has a direct effect on your heart. You actually start feeling it. Somehow, it's fun too. :P We learnt from our first lesson, كل من احب الله انس به ومن احب غير الله عذب به [Rough translation:] Whoever will love Allah, will feel affability (closeness) through it. And whoever will love (someone) other than Allah, will feel torture through it. Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart "Swearing By Other Than Allah, A form of Shirk" By Asma bint Shameem Today's topic is about something that we do every day, something we hear everyday, see others do everyday.....and we do not think much about it.... yet it is something VERY, VERY GRAVE. It is when we swear or take an oath on other than Allaah. Swearing on ANYTHING, OR ANYONE other than Allaah, is an extremely serious matter and is considered SHIRK, even if the person swearing is telling the truth. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Whoever swears by anything other than Allaah is guilty of kufr or shirk." (Saheeh, narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi).
