This is just a short story detailing the reminiscence of a twin looking back on the good times.

A poem that came to me one evening while listening to the rainfall outside while I was stuck indoors thanks to the pandemic.

My name is Adrian. My hopes and dreams for the future? What future? My dreams were crushed when I'd been diagnosed with Leukemia. It seems I've barely gotten to live and here I was prepared to die, never knowing when, only waiting. Waiting for the inevitable. I know that soon I will be gone. Gone from the world where overtime I will be forgotten. Nevermore will I be able to gaze at the deep blue sky. Nevermore will I be able to waste away my days, enjoying the company of my friends and slacking off. And what about her? She will never know how I much I truly care about her. I don't even have a chance with her anymore. It kills me to think whoever she ends up with will not be me. She'll never know how much I love her.
