Sometimes you just might have to die to live again. ***** When art historian Reine Baldwin meets Gabe Moran, a charming journalist, she has no idea their blossoming love will shatter her comfortable life. But a series of clues lead Reine to discover that she's not alone in knowing that she was born centuries ago and-worse yet-there are many things she apparently doesn't even remember. Reine has to face a forgotten past and a forgotten ex-husband (the handsome billionaire Max Baldovini), who-like her-is immortal and cannot truly die. Should she trade her ordinary life with Gabe for the love of Max, a man who's worshipped her for half a millennium? The choice should be easy, until Reine starts to remember things that Max is desperate to make her forget. [[word count: 100,000-150,000 words]]

(note: Story cover has been updated May 2023 :) New chapter covers will be added slowly too) Catherine Wolfe didn't know why she was chosen, or if she was at all. She only knew she'd been pulled through time to help a family involved in a war she'd never thought to exist, and that it was her only way back home. What she didn't expect, though, was the young man with whom her fate became inexplicably entwined. Ezio/OC Slow burn -- #1 in assassin's creed, #6 Ezioauditore 12/15/2019!!! I've been a fan of Assassin's Creed for a long time (not quite as long as Transformers), and I've always loved Ezio's games. I actually had this idea for a long time, but my previous Transformers fanfic and school took up all my time. Thanks to a friend, though, I have my inspiration, and expect this story to go places. For those who've read my other story, you're going to recognize the OC, and you've found me out: she's my go-to gall. I love using her in my fandoms, so if you enjoyed watching her grow in her first fic, I guarantee you'll love watching her in this one, too.  This time around, though, she's facing something perhaps far more dangerous. Whether or not she makes it... well, only time will tell and you'll have to keep reading her newest adventure to find out! As usual, if you see any mistakes, please let me know! Editing is never 100% full proof, so I appreciate the help. And don't be afraid to comment or share your opinion! I love hearing from you all and will do my best to reply to all your comments. :) Updates will be whenever I finish a new chapter, so hopefully on a weekly bases! And with that all said, enjoy Assassin's Creed: Chronos!

A Southern-born Black woman navigating the pulse of Harlem during the New Negro Movement, living by the rules of the south that isn't much needed in the north. Ophelia Chamberlaine's biggest fear was facing the fate of either one of her sisters - one married off to keep a war away and the other dying in childbirth. Even with all of the love the Great Alaric Chamberlaine holds for his daughter, he knows that peace between countries depends on what he is willing to lose, or, rather who he is willing to lose. Even their mother, in all her power, could not save two of her three little doves, and she knows that Ophelia is next. As a burgeoning war begins to surface and a fragile trading treaty begin to crumble, Alaric realizes very quickly that the time for him to say goodbye to his sweet Ophelia is nigh. Only, it isn't just her parents Ophelia has to say goodbye to; hushed whispers, late night stargazing, and a plethora of nights she would never forget with her precious knight, Percival Abernathy, is on the list. Poor, poor Percival - and poor, fragile Ophelia.

In a kingdom where ancient magic threads through the veins of every noble line, two houses stand locked in an age-long rivalry that has shaped politics, alliances, and the very balance of power. House Draven, known for its deadly mastery of dark sorcery and relentless ambition, commands both fear and respect. House Varyn, equally powerful, thrives in the shadows-silent, cunning, and feared for its unparalleled command of shadow magic. Their conflict has lasted for generations, and the realm has long accepted that hostility between these two houses is as constant as the turning of seasons. Aurelius Draven, heir of House Draven, is a name spoken with equal parts awe and dread. At thirty years old, he has already earned a reputation as a formidable warrior-mage-one who wields dark sorcery with deadly precision and carries himself with the unshakable pride of someone born into power. Seraphine Varyn, at twenty-eight, is the sharp edge of her house. Beautiful in a fierce, dangerous way, she is known for her cunning mind and mastery of shadow magic. she does not brag about her abilities-Her tongue is razor-sharp, her sarcasm legendary, and her independence unshakeable. But the kingdom does not have time for petty rivalries. A mysterious and deadly rogue force begins attacking border villages-leaving ash, ruin, and fear in its wake. The attacks are unlike anything seen in recent years, powered by magic too ancient and too corrupted to belong to any known house. With the kingdom's stability at risk, the royal council has no choice but to command an alliance between Houses Draven and Varyn. Aurelius and Seraphine are chosen to lead the defense. Neither of them is pleased. Forced into close contact, the two rivals struggle to hold their composure. Together, Aurelius and Seraphine prove that power does not lie in dominance or fear, but in understanding, vulnerability, and the courage to embrace something stronger than magic: love forged in the flames of rivalry.

Meredith Eris Royce did not appreciate the fact that the Crown Prince, Mage tower Master and the Cold Duke of the North did not respond to her beck and call and were absolutely not down bad for her. She's not delusional no. In her defence, she was born with her previous life memories, and was 'enlightened' at age 16 that the world she lives in was actually a novel she may or may not remember clearly. Where else have we heard that trope now? Of course she would end up having a huge Main Character Complex- which was shattered soon. . . . Anyways, she did not set up the original female lead and the jealous villainess with each other out of pettiness towards the og male leads. Nope. Definitely not. It was out of the goodness of her widely small heart. Meredith is everything and petty- I mean but petty. Would you be so kind as to follow along her journey of getting over her broken ego - I mean, her superiority complex - no wait I meant, her Main Character Syndrome? (Romance is optional, pettiness is guaranteed.)

Rowena now wants to escape, but Aldric, consumed by guilt, desire and something far harder to name will not let her go. ~ She dared a glance toward the stairwell. Empty, but the sound was closer now, the faint scrape of leather against stone. "A poor choice of ground, little fox" Aldric's voice carried down the passage, low and unhurried. "There are few corners here I do not know." She pressed herself flatter against the wall, willing the shadows to keep her. From the angle of the arch she could see the faint spill of lamplight growing along the floor, the way it shivered with each step he took.

Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.
