Wide eyed, and frozen, time felt as if it had stood still, all the while, tingles were shooting up and down my arms from where our skin made contact. My wolf purred in content. Mate. At the thought of the word, my heart skipped a beat, and rapidly restarted. No, I can't react -- act normal, your life depends on it. "You're --" his voice was deep and made me weak to my knees. His hazel eyes were as wide and as clear as day, and I could see his pupils slowly dilate. As much as my wolf protested, and as much as I didn't want to pull away from his intense gaze and our flushed bodies, I gently pushed my hands against his solid chest to create some distance. "I-I'm sorry..." I stuttered softly before gathering my things which crashed to the floor minutes before. I moved as quickly, and as humanly possible. Afterwards, I rushed away from the forming crowd. Good job Elise... It's not even first period yet... A shakespearien rendition of Loki: Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi Lee. (Even though I sure cannot be as good as Shakespeare because who can?) I do not claim to be the original writer nor a better one. The book was good but it just didn't suit the ideas I had for a Loki novel. Anyway, this novel is about Loki's past as a young prince that tries to find himself in the midst of all the trouble that seems to always follow him. (And also I like to call it « shakespearien rendition » but it is not really that. Sounded way too cool in my head to be left there. Sorry for that)
