Excerpt : A post-destruction reality. All I can say is that our Earth was no longer the planet it used to be, and saying that the human population had reduced quite dramatically would be an understatement. There were some hundred of us in the area that had survived, and I hoped that somewhere out there several other groups also carried on living. With the limited resources and ruination, a handful of us would soon die of ill health, famine, and grief. The rest of us knew that in order to persist we had much to do, and reproduce. For without reproduction, the human race would simply die away.This is the world I would spend the rest of my life in.

This is a dystopian novel about people who can't fall in love, only forced to have children due to the government. There is no marriage, and you can't keep your children, until Annabeth and Blake come along. The government selects a man and a woman every month to get together and have a baby. Then, after 9 months, the woman gives birth to the child. Then, she gives the child to the government and the government assigns a care giver to the child. The care giver can't be chosen to have a baby because she or he has already done it 5 times, or they couldn't do it in the first place. Special thanks to @frostune for making this amazing cover!!
