In all the years Cal had been alive, he felt no pain. His nerves had been cut off since he was born, but it was never realized until Cal had a dance with death. He felt no pain, something in his brain wasn't working. After that, Cal was abandoned by his family for not being normal. When he turned 10, Cal was picked up by a woman named Mother Miranda. As he grew older, he changed. He honed his senses, but still never felt pain.
