The world ended in fire and silence, and Priscilla Mayhem learned far too quickly that childhood was a luxury the post-invasion world could not afford.
At fourteen, Priscilla travels with the remnants of humanity alongside her older siblings-Maggie, hardened beyond her twenty-five years, and Tobias, twenty and trying desperately to hold their fractured family together. Like Maggie, Priscilla fell into the hands of Pope's group early in the invasion. There, survival came at a terrible cost. Forced into brutality, fear, and control, Priscilla emerged changed-and carrying a child. Her baby is both her deepest wound and her fiercest reason to keep going in a world that has already taken everything else.
The story begins during the events surrounding The Armory in Season One, as the 2nd Massachusetts Militia attempts to reclaim hope, weapons, and a future from the ruins of the old world. Priscilla, still young but already marked by loss, joins the fight while struggling to protect her baby from a war that never spares the innocent. Haunted by Pope's influence and judged by survivors who don't understand what she endured, Priscilla must navigate motherhood, trauma, and combat all at once.
Amid the chaos, she forms an unexpected bond with Ben Mason-a boy her age who understands loss, fear, and the crushing weight of responsibility. As Ben faces his own path toward transformation and resistance, Priscilla becomes both an anchor and a reminder of what they're fighting for. Together, they grow up too fast in a world that demands it, finding solace, loyalty, and eventually love in each other as humanity teeters on the brink.
