I should be in my room, I told myself. Or at least somewhere familiar. . . Word reached the inner hall within moments. "Sona has returned." . . "Struggling won't break it." "Then you don't know who you've tied," she shot back. "And that's your mistake." . . "You think this is about safety?" she demanded. "This is about possession." . . . She held his gaze, "And what feels out of place about me?" "Nothing," he said after a moment. "That's what makes it noticeable." For the first time, she smiled-small, controlled. "My name is Kirti." . . . "Since I'm clearly being discussed-I am Shri." . . "He told me to pack my bags," Shri said. "Said I was late." "I asked him why," Shri went on. "He said, 'Because if you don't leave now, you'll miss her.'"

In the silk-producing valleys of the Kingdom of Naples, Renza, the daughter of a respected silk merchant, has been raised within the careful order of family and tradition. Lucien arrives as a restless outsider, marked by a past he cannot escape. Around them move others bound by secrecy and survival, including a spy for the Inquisition trained to live between two worlds. As tensions deepen and suspicion spreads through Silk County, their lives draw toward a tragic event history has nearly erased. Echoing the ancient myth of Galatea and Acis in a 16th century setting, Silk County explores how love endures in fragile and often dangerous spaces, where even the most delicate threads can bind souls across time. Updates ongoing as part of the #ONC2026 contest.

Power was never the problem. Control was. In a fractured, dystopian Nigeria, the elite Uppers rule with iron fists and marble halls, while the Lowers and Rejects survive on scraps-and silence. A government-issued drug called Nullisyn keeps the population obedient, suppressing superhuman abilities before they can awaken. Michael is just another Reject trying to stay invisible. Haunted by a brutal past and bound to a daily dose of lies, he lives for one thing only: keeping his crew alive. But when a single act of defiance exposes the truth behind Nullisyn, everything changes. As dormant powers awaken and the State tightens its grip, Michael and his friends are forced into a rebellion they never planned-against a regime led by Supreme Leader Jide, the architect of the system... and the monster tied to Michael's deepest scars. What begins as survival becomes revolution. From the slums to the shattered gates of Abuja, Rise of the Rejects is a story of power, sacrifice, found family, and the question that could burn a nation to the ground: Can those cast aside by society rise high enough to change it?

When 'reach for the stars' stops being a metaphor. Being a productive member of society was always expected of me-by my family, my friends, and my coworkers. I thought I was doing my part in customer support, helping people every day, until the demands pushed me past my breaking point. So I left. I built a quiet life on my own terms: a cabin by a lake, a thriving garden, bees, and distance from the pressures that nearly destroyed me. Just when I believe I've finally found peace, strange lights circle the stars-and I'm lifted off the path leading back home. I wake in a place that is cold, controlled, and very interested in what I can do. What first looks like a gift-a greenhouse, fertile soil, the chance to grow-quickly becomes something else entirely. I wasn't brought here by accident. I was chosen because I'm useful. As the trials continue and my memories begin to blur, I'm forced to confront the truth of their desperation-and the cost of refusing to cooperate. They need me to save their world. I just want my life back-if I can still remember what that was. Author's note: This novella is my first entry for the Wattpad Open Novella Contest. Ahsoka gritted her teeth, witnessing the bonfire burn hotter and hotter. Her hatred, Her Betrayal, Her fear culminated within the strength of the fire's burn. Her legs came up to her chest, wrapped by her arms, basking in the warmth of the bonfire. The stars decorating the Radaa night sky did not aid her woes, and remove her pain. But there she sat, basking in the fire's glow. Next to her, was a spiritual being. One not cold, but filled with warmth and comfort. "Ahsoka Tano, the path forth treads dangerously. Watch your every movement, for the comfort of the Republic that has been crumbling for years, has finally fallen on the hands on Sheev Palpatine." She spoke, sitting next to Ahsoka, warm hand caressing the blue sapphire and off-white dirty lekku. It looked like it had seen days, and years of experience that would rather be left forgotten. Ahsoka sat still, tears blurring her angry expression, dropping down her cheeks one by one... before eventually dropping all at once, like flood gates being opened after long-gone Tsunamis came by. One year after the Battle of Exegol, scattered remnants of the First Order threaten to regroup in the Outer Rim. Resistance Agent Volition is dispatched to Batuu, tasked with investigating their growing activity. She is partnered with Rings, a stoic and mysterious mercenary with secrets of his own. With each battle fought and each piece of intel uncovered, their trust in each other strengthens. But in typical Resistance fashion, things rarely go according to plan, sending the unlikely duo across the Outer Rim on a bold mission to end the First Order threat once and for all... Author's Note: I stayed as true to Star Wars canon and lore as possible. The two main characters, Rings and Volition, were created by me. This story focuses on character growth, engaging dialogue with some fun banter, tight action sequences, and some well known guest appearances. The tone is Star Wars PG fan fiction, so there's no swearing (does Dank farrik count?) and no excessive violence. I broke the chapters up into smaller "Episodes" to make it easier to digest. A fun and (hopefully) enjoyable read for any Star Wars fan. Your feedback is highly encouraged and greatly appreciated!

They are the brightest young minds of a crumbling world - the inventors, the rebels and the forgotten - and they are Marshal Cadoc's most-feared threat. From the soot-choked alleys of Castlefye to the glistening dunes of Onaaba, all the way to the frozen forest of Indigo Steep, an unspoken pact is in motion. For Owen and Bryn, it begins with a mysterious carriage manned by a lanky giant. For others, the path to sanctuary is paved with lights and shadows. Plucked from their lives by fate or by force, this disparate group is thrust into a world of trials and a secret academy hidden beyond the maps. But the Yorne Academy of Life is more than a refuge. It is a forge for a revolution. These are the chronicles of the pupils who were never supposed to disembark. A small army of progress in a world that wants them silent. The gears are turning. The tide is rising. And the Gooubs are in formation. Are you brave enough to be lost? Follow me on IG for news, insights and more: @KassandraNiklaus

In the city of Velas, some secrets are buried. Others are simply silenced. Seventeen-year-old Mara Solís didn't come to the Colegio de las Mareas for the prestige. She came for the secrets her dead grandmother left behind. But in a school where magic is woven from breath and intention, the most dangerous thing you can possess is a voice. When Mara discovers a grimoire belonging to a girl who was "unmade" in 1947, she realizes the school's archives aren't just housing history-they're hiding a murder. What she finds is a grimoire - a handwritten record of a girl named Isaura who attended Colegio in 1947 and was erased from every record the school holds. Not expelled. Not forgotten. Erased. Her voice taken. Her name unmade. The pages are disappearing, and Mara is in a race against whatever force is still, after all these decades, trying to finish the job. Her only ally is Seren Voss - the archivist's apprentice, precise and guarded and hiding something Mara can feel but cannot name. Seren has been at Colegio longer than makes sense. She knows about the grimoire. She has been waiting, without knowing it, for someone like Mara to arrive. In a world where magic is made of breath and intention, where speaking a thing is the most powerful and most dangerous act there is, Mara must recover what was taken from a girl who died voiceless - before the same forces that silenced Isaura decide that Mara knows too much to be allowed to speak. ✨ DARK ACADEMIA | GOTHIC FANTASY | SLOW BURN ✨ Updates every Friday Book One of the Velas Trilogy

"6,000 Guys like you", the 8th volume in my series The Right People, centers on the planning and execution of a staged hijacking to secure of the escape from Germany of the surviving Palestinian perpetrators of the Munich Olympic Games attack ahead of the 1972 federal elections. To accomplish this, Tom and his friends travel to Syria, Libya and Egypt, where they negotiate with representatives the Libyan government and the Palestinians over the terms of the prisoners' release. Back in Germany, at the German Ministry of Defense on the Hardthöhe in Bonn, they witness the dramatic events during and immediately after the hijacking of the Lufthansa Boeing 727 Kiel. Along the way, two of Tom's friends, Hamit and Phil, encounter a pair of street musicians in Ireland who prove to be IRA couriers, as well as an ambitious figure determined to become the world's largest hashish dealer. The months portrayed in this volume are marked by tension, intrigue, and escalating stakes. Although the novel is grounded in extensive research into the historical context, it is a work of fiction. All characters, including public officials mentioned, as well as the events depicted, are entirely fictional. New chapters are published every Friday. The cover photo depicts the German war memorial in Tobruk/Libya
