"This was it. No-one could deny that I, Helen Wersel, was about to achieve the feat of completing my New Year's Resolution on the very first day of the New Year. I looked at my crush, who was standing at the edge of the Coscep Public Swim Centre lap pool, wearing nothing but board shorts and a tan you could spread on a waffle and eat with maple syrup. Talking to your crush for the first time was hard, it seemed. So, maybe you could deny it. But only a little. Well, maybe a lot." A Short Story | For @TeenFictionCommunity's Writing Contest Number 8: New Year's Resolutions. Word Count: 915 The cover is way too serious and grown-up for this story. XD The New Year's Resolution: Talk to her crush. ;)

"It's the allure of paradise That entices you You daydream about the Gardens you want beneath your feet You ravel in the mystery Of that Palace made for you And how intricately It must have been designed You're left wondering how calmly The rivers would flow And how sweet it would taste How beautiful Firdaus must be! You gaze into that image Of the beautiful afterlife Conjured in your head You're lost in its charm It's grandeur It's effortless beauty It's another day You're one shackle less Imprisoned in this dunya As you want to grab all you see For yourself". All praise is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. This collection contains various poems (short and long) that would remind us of life, worship and the purpose of our creation. They would be subtle reminders for myself first and then you. If you're not a muslim and you have no problems with reading "muslim stuff", you're very welcome. If you're one who isn't interested in hearing about anything Islam, you're welcome if you change your mind.

Short stories born from a deep well of churning emotions. Different genres and story formats, so feel free to skim through them at your leisure. I welcome everyone who wants to read. Sometimes you get a really intense feeling and you have no way to express it or let it go. This is what I do when such a thing happens to me, doesn't matter what feeling it is, as long as it's too much for me to bear, I'll start writing to work it out of my mind. Also, let this compilation of short stories act like a reminder to everyone who reads my work, that you are not alone. There will always be someone who is willing to listen to you, so live your life to the fullest and don't have any regrets. Enjoy.

Rankings #7 in resolutions out of 34 (3/9/2018) We all know that when we make New Year's resolutions, we don't intend to conquer them all. There's always something unfinished. But we do it anyway. It's tradition. Amelia howsoever, intends to make them all. So she made a plan. A very detailed plan may i add. She does not intend to lose. But life gets in the way. And all her resolutions are now thrown away. She wanted to succeed in her career, save money, be there for all her friends, make her family proud. And she succeeds to do the complete opposite. She's not going down without a fight, but when she encounters and obstacle she can not pass she doubts about her own wishes and resolutions.

All things are possible in this universe. ALL things are possible. This is first premise that must be embraced before any "visioning" can become a reality. We so often, right off the bat, disallow certain possibilities because we've chosen to make it so.
