She knew there was a chance other people with regrets could go back, but she also wanted to make sure she could have siblings she spent months on the spell The only way to activate it was for her to sacrifice herself, she had to die to start the spell and she willingly did so she just didn't expect for the spell to get corrupted by someone from hell her aunt Dahlia used to spell not to go back, but to make every Mikaelson male fertile. When the spell was triggered it sent time back to the day after Hope was consumed. But what no one knew was two other girls have regrets and traveled back as well
