Two skeletons unearthed in an eternal embrace begin to shift unnaturally, their ritual-marked bones tightening each night until they vanish, leaving only dark residue as they roam together, seeking new victims to join their embrace.

Alex grinned proudly looking at me, then back out the crowd he stood in front of. "Everyone settle down." He says, walking slowly to the mic. Every inch of me wanted to run out of this nightmare. But I knew, I'd regret it. I wanted run, I wanted to cry, I wanted to do everything he said I couldn't. How could a man so mean, arrogant, and selfish have his happy ending? Tears swelled in my eyes as I continued ranting in my mind. I starred at him, hatefully. Alex looked back at me, and as he smiled all I could do was hold on my tears. "I want to welcome you all to my new-" The crowd gasped. Not at the opening of the red curtains. But at the small brown girl, running. I was for sure, NOT going to regret this.

Why did he save me? Of all people. Why couldn't he have saved someone good like himself. Why did he trust me? You cannot trust anyone. Definitely not me. Why did he go against all logic? Why. Did. He. Save. Me?

After heavy social chaos and thousands upon thousands of battles within cities and countries, different borders are put up to divide people. There are those that take pride in intellect and are essentially the brains of the world. This is Praeclarum. Then there are those that maintain peace, have a seemingly calm and normal sense of being, there isn't utter and complete chaos but it's also not rid of the negativities of life. Similar to modern life. This is Regnandi. Then there are the wastelands. Places that weren't able to thrive after the thousands of battles that took place, even after hundreds of years, these lands are still nothing but pure chaos and hate. This is Impios. During our characters journey it is centuries after this initial break, meaning everything is more or less accommodated and everyone knows the basic rules and mechanics of everyday life and the three divisions.

It's 3:00am and I'm supposed to be asleep, but instead I'm lost in my own thoughts.
