This book is full of AUs and other "What If...?" Questions to see how Jacqueline's story might Have been different if something was changed. This exists purely because I had so many ideas and I couldn't work them all into the story at once. Please note that the stories will vary from chapter to chapter, and some will contradict others, so don't think of them as sequential parts but rather as each being their own novella (unless otherwise stated) That also means that the timeline might shift in different stories. It is still an OC x Edmund story

"You are just full of surprises aren't you?" Elle looked pointedly at the stranger's poorly mismatched clothes again, "As are you." Through the darkness she saw his face split into a grin, "I haven't the faintest idea what you mean." "Either you are a nobleman dressing below your rank, which would be terribly exciting, or you're just a noble-born architect too rich to have taste, which would be rather dull." "And which would you have me be?" "I would hope that you're exciting, good Sir," Elle curtseyed deeply to the strange man before continuing her way to the hat shop. .............................. Eloise is living as a servant in her own house watching her greedy spoiled step-sisters, Cassia and Abigail, spend more money than is reasonable. Every since her father died their mother, Elle's step-mother, hasn't been the same; still in mourning after two years she rarely leaves the house leaving her two daughters to ruin their reputations. Her sister, the Baroness, has since stepped in to bankroll her nieces as they flit about until they get married. She has worked tirelessly, trying to manage countless household chores while still making time to work in the only bookshop in town for old and blind Mr. Alden. One day, rumors about architects and nobles coming to their small town has workingmen and nobles alike frantically preparing their daughters to snag an advantageous match. Elle has never worked harder in her life; sewing hems, running deliveries and correspondence, scrubbing copper pots, preparing tea, and more. She's so tired that when a strange man followed by a knight stumbles into her bookshop, she barely even notices. Is this man real or a hallucination? Who is he and why does he have such bad taste in cloths? Why does his companion never remove his helmet?

For June Holloway, the quiet, golden-lit aisles of her family's store, FAO Schwarz, are her sanctuary. In a world that is far too loud and demanding, June prefers patterns, quiet melodies on the grand piano, and the grounding comfort of her worn plush companions, Razzle and Dazzle. Then enters Carl Denham-an obsessive, reckless filmmaker chasing a legend that isn't supposed to exist. Swept aboard the Venture alongside protective playwright Jack Driscoll, June is dragged across uncharted waters into a suffocating sea of fog. Destination: Skull Island. Beyond the fog lies a land frozen in ancient fear-guarded by cyclopean stone walls, terrifying shadow rituals, and a tribe desperate to appease what slumbers in the jungle. While Denham sees a lucrative spectacle and Jack seeks to keep June safe from the island's madness, June hears something entirely different in the thunderous pulse of the drums. She sees a world trapped in terror-and a ancient, lonely beast behind the wall who might just be as isolated as she is.

Welcome to One of many upcoming Inkwell Archive books! Every great story begins with a single spark. These pages are home to the ideas that arrived before the novels-the characters who first whispered their names, the worlds waiting to be explored, and the stories still searching for where they belong. Some may one day become full-length books. Others may remain exactly as they are: a single glimpse into a world that existed for only a moment. Inside, you'll find original one-shots, experimental scenes, new protagonists, fresh worlds, and stories that dare to ask, "What if?" Every page is an invitation to witness imagination in its earliest form. Not every idea becomes a novel, but every idea has a story worth telling. So step inside, explore the unwritten, and perhaps discover the beginning of your next favorite adventure before its first chapter is ever written. The archive is always growing. As long as new dreams continue to find their voice, another page will be waiting.

Well, well, well. Did you miss me? I can spot a couple of new faces lurking in the back, so I suppose introductions are needed. I'm Kalliope Aoidós, a Book Jumper, and thanks to my family's spectacularly inconvenient curse, I've once again found myself trapped in an adventure. The odds of dying a horrible death? Alarmingly high, as usual. Just the way we like it. What can I say? I have standards. In a time of ancient gods, warlords and kings. A land in turmoil cried out for a hero. No, wait. That's Xena. I love the drama but we need one or two adjustments. Let's try again. In a time of the Cauldron and the Mother, of High Lords ruling their courts, deadly bargains, and the King of Hybern brooding over conquest and destruction, the fae people cried out for a hero to spare them from slaughter and an absolutely catastrophic plotline. At last, there came Kalliope, the mighty Book Jumper, forged in the heat of stories and questionable narrative decisions. Power struggles, reckless passions, political schemes, betrayals, ancient secrets, suspiciously attractive enemies, and enough emotional damage to keep therapists employed for centuries, all would be met with relentless sarcasm by the one woman who alone had the power to change the world. Over the top? Absolutely. But read my adventures first and then tell me with a straight face that I oversold any of it. But their trail was lost in the mists of Avalon-and with it, the legacy of the dragon. The dragon is dead. Long live the king. Years later, Albion is a land of shadows. The Crusades have left behind blood and famine; magic is forbidden, and the old religion is persecuted with fire and sword. *** After Robin has exposed her in the most shameful way, Marian seeks a new path outside the walls of Huntingdon and far from Robin of Locksley: under the name Ahren, as a squire in the service of the legendary Silver Knight, Sir Lancelot, she hopes to finally find the long-awaited freedom in Bamburgh. Simon, another squire, soon suspects, however, that there is more to the clumsy newcomer than meets the eye. Swept to a magical land by a tornado, Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto, must find their way back home to Kansas. Along the challenging adventure, they make three new friends who are each searching for their own hearts desire. The friends encounter many obstacles along the way, including a vengeful Wicked Witch and other strange and interesting creatures that live in the land, all while learning more about themselves in the process. Loosely based off the book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a 1900 children's novel written by author L. Frank Baum and illustrated by W. W. Denslow. It is the first novel in my version of the Oz series of books. *** The first tale in my adaption of the fantastical Oz series by L. Frank Baum. My adaptation of Baum's first book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," remains faithful to the original narrative structure, while introducing captivating modifications to the storyline, origins of certain characters, and the fusion of select chapters. In crafting this rendition, I sought to pay homage to the rich tapestry of Oz adaptations that have graced our screens over the years. Notably, I drew inspiration from the iconic 1939 MGM classic and its enchanting Disney 1985 semi-Sequel, "Return to Oz," as well as the beloved "Wicked" series, SyFy's enthralling "Tin Man" miniseries from 2007, Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), and the captivating Oz episodes of "Once Upon a Time." To breathe life into the pages, I decided to create live-action illustrations for the book. I used a mix of the MGM Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz (1985), and other Oz adaptations to create the visuals.
