Plus he wasn't digging the whole mated to a half werewolf mumbo-jumbo thing but the big guy is persistent. No matter how hard he pushes Channing away, he always comes back like a puppy. Little by little, with the constant onslaught of Channing's mix vulnerability and seduction, Shays walls begins to crumble. But someone wants Shay out the way, bad enough to kill him. And no matter how much his Pack disapproves of his mating, Channing will stand by his mate. He'll protect Shay even if he has to become the monster lurking inside him to do it.
