After college, Lauren has now moved into the Windy City in hopes of becoming the best Nurse she can be. She's moved on from her past and is now a beautiful woman. She let go of the people who tortured her and is now levelheaded and determined to show everyone how amazing she is. But what happens when someone from her past reappears? Is it real or just a stupid joke? Will her friends turn their back on her, just as she needs them. Or will they help in her downfall?

Regardless, "this" is a place that Ila never thought she'd come back to and doesn't know if she'll even make it back home.

You don’t think that you’re suddenly going to be forced to give up your entire life to steal back the Summer Queen’s crown while you’re drinking a cup of coffee in the morning. And you certainly don’t think about visiting a place that doesn’t even exist and becoming a hero. Those things just happen. Unannounced. No warnings whatsoever.
