The unit was under fire. My buddy Arthur was running toward cover. He must've stepped on a land mine because the next thing I knew he was blown to pieces, shrapnel was flying everywhere. I was close to the blast and I felt a pain in my leg, but it wasn't there. I passed out really quick.

Running was right beneath cooking and baking on Liberty Johnson's resumé. After running from Clementine 9 years ago, Liberty returns to flee from her cheating bastard ex fiancé. Now back home, she wonders if 9 years was enough to exorcise the demons she'd run away from. Clementine is just as she'd left it and as she busies herself with her new project, Orchid, and deflecting questions about why she left, Liberty finds herself being distracted in ways she'd never predicted. Jinx, the author and finisher of the misery of her teenage years, is probably the only element that has changed. While Liberty busies herself trying to refamiliarize herself with her old shoes, and hangs up her celebrity chef hat to run her own bed and breakfast, she trades in her running shoes to anchor herself to the man she'd never seen herself leaning on.

During his third year in University, Quincy yet again feels the faint longing that's been comforting him since he moved into his dorm during his first year. Every year, he feels lonely despite hanging out with friends. A sort of homesickness that he seems to just endure until New Year's Eve. He would like to reminisce about his childhood home to ease this longing pain. However, his problem lies in the fact that he can't even remember his childhood home as being that exciting. What's more, there's no familiarity with his memories. He lived through the past, but when he recalls it, it feels like someone else's. Finally, as an early gift, he finds himself tagging along with a friend who received a prize from something they participated in. Travelling up North to a small town called Felicity, his head buzzes with nostalgia. For three weeks until Christmas ends, Quincy stays with his university friends in the small town, meeting the locals and a particular young woman. In this winter wonderland tale, will something bloom like the northern star looking down from above them in three weeks? Quincy doesn't do much during Christmas other than celebrating with his parents, but during this night, Quincy puts on his usual Christmas music before going to bed, he wants to start the day in the morning and doesn't want to be tempted to stay late so he takes some sleeping pills. When he finds himself in the middle of the forest laying on the snow, still night, actually, much more earlier than he when he took his sleeping pills. He walks around to find a glowing tree with an ice star under the moonlight and beyond finds a town. He walks towards the town to find a festive population of people. Him being a newcomer, they mistake him for a tourist and he soon finds a home for his vacation, new friends and a lovely woman that strikes his heart with an arrow

I remember times when we talked for the pure joy of talking to each other. We shared, laughed and cried. We spoke of anything our hearts desired. Mostly it was pure spontaneity, spoken raw. It's lead us to the uncharted and in this uncharted we were discoverers of each other. Those were beautiful days and my heart still brightens in recollection. Continues...

She trains out in the woods when no one is around. Aiden is a 19 year old soon to be Alpha that has been attending alpha school since he was eight years old. He finally graduated and is coming home to his pack to take over in place of his father. He is 6 foot tall and weights 210 lbs most of it being muscle. despite being of an alpha blood line and going to the school he still doesn't think he is ready to be alpha he knows something is missing but he just cant figure out what that is.
