In Jaipur, heavy rain poured down relentlessly. The streets were nearly empty, glistening under the streetlights.
A car sped through the silent roads, its headlights cutting through the rain.
Inside, Aarohi sat by the window, her face dimly lit by passing lights. Tears rolled down her cheeks, unnoticed, as her mind replayed everything her parents had said just 2-3 hours earlier.
Her grip tightened slightly...
And the memories came rushing back.
Flashback
The sound of thunder echoed outside as silence filled the room. The air felt heavy.
"You're going to London for your higher studies. That's final." Avinash's voice was firm, almost cold, cutting through the silence.
Aarohi stood frozen, her hands trembling slightly. "But, Papa-"
"There is no future in dance!" he interrupted sharply, his anger rising. "You have to understand this."
Aarohi's eyes welled up, but she gathered the courage to speak. "Why can't you understand me? This isn't just a hobby... it's my dream."
Avantika stepped forward, her voice softer but filled with concern. "Beta, we are thinking about your future. We want what's best for you."
"What about what I want?" Aarohi's voice cracked, tears finally spilling over. "I don't want to run the business... I don't want that life."
The room fell silent again, but this time it was louder than before.
"I just want to dance... I want to build my own career," she whispered, her voice breaking.
