Mr-Calma
The narrative fragment "The Gods of the Final Apocalypse," set in Manila, introduces a scenario of impending cosmic horror. It centers on Norman Santos, a man driven to near-madness by his knowledge of an ancient pact between his ancestors and a group of malevolent cosmic entities known as the Entropic Pantheon. The story begins with Norman's reclusive existence, haunted by hallucinations and desperately seeking escape in trivial pursuits. His life is disrupted by Willie, a dreamwalker, who brings home a forbidden book titled "The Apocalyptic Gods." This book reveals the existence of the Entropic Pantheon and their plan to unleash an apocalypse upon the world, a plan facilitated by the ancient pact made by Norman's ancestor, Loben Capito. The narrative details the origins and goals of each member of the Entropic Pantheon, painting a picture of terrifying cosmic forces poised to breach existence. And in order to do so, they have to use his grandson, named Howard Johenson Santos(from the short story "The Peeking One At Baguio), because this boy has a potential within him, a power that will allow them to enter the world. Norman's madness is explained as a direct result of his understanding of this inevitable doom, which he can now only warn Willie about. The narrative utilizes elements of Philippine history and mythology to create a sense of foreboding and set the stage for a conflict against ancient, cosmic powers
