Cecil started before covering her mouth with her hands and giggling. How does that sound like someone she knows? Dr. Len thought. A person who talks to cockroaches? Cecil's eyes beamed ...Oh. Him. Dr. Len gave Cecil a look. The intern giggled. "It does." Dr. Len released her hands from the man's now loosened grip. She placed them in the protection of her pocket before answering. "Cecil, I need your attention here, not on Dr. ..." What was the character's name again? Dr. Wrench? She was surprised that she couldn't remember the name considering everyone's recent obsession with the franchise. She tried to envision the man in all of Cecile's profile pictures, but only came up with a blurry cartoon figure. Now she was the one getting distracted. Dr. Len picked up the chart from the table. "How old are you?" she asked. "23." "Since this was a hit-and-run," she said, "by the law of our state, you don't have to pay any fees or provide proof of residency however we do need you to fill out this form." She removed the form from her chart and handed it to him. "Once you have filled it out, you are free to leave. Cecil, can you give him the care bag?"

"Where am I?" he asked finally. She exhaled, tension making her shoulders ache. "My apartment." A beat. "Which sector?" Her heart sank as she prepared to answer the next question. "Sector?" That made him go still again. His eyes, cold and sharp, searched hers. She saw it then-the flicker of unease hidden beneath his controlled exterior. This was wrong.

Also, since I mentioned in my about page that I am a 'young author' I still lack at a lot of things while writing my stories. So as I grow up to learn new things, I might as well write a second draft of the whole story when I'm more older and more professional. This story is also inspired by some manhwas. The 'siren' bit was inspired by the manhwa 'The Siren/becoming the villain's family' but I did not copy, most of my story is original.
