Now days, most people dream of writing a book at some point in their life; they just don't know where to start! It's not nearly as difficult as many may think if you go about it in the right way. ~~||~~ This, again, was a school project. This is how I've gone about writing every book I've ever written. I haven't published any of them, but excluding the publishing factor, this has been a great process for writing novels and gotten me far.

I've been writing for a very long time. Seriously. As in dinosaurs stole one of my first drafts. I'm a published poet and published academic who, five years ago, decided to try writing fiction for fun. Well, let me tell you, I've learned so much about writing in those past five years its mind-boggling! That said, I've decided to start a blog detailing what I've learned--as much for me as for anyone who cares to read this guide. After all, teaching something to someone else is often the best way to teach it to yourself. If you've read my stories and there's something you think I could teach you, that's cool! I've been asked often enough for advice on making a compelling plot or creating realistic dialogue, that I decided to start this book with some of my thoughts on the process.
