They're lowering the center noose. Ellis is only a few feet away from his death. Climbing the stairs. Somehow, his eyes find mine, and then glance down to the hand gripping the handle of my dagger. He casts his eyes sideways at the preoccupied king, mouthing just two words. "Trust me." Without a second thought, I throw the knife, watching it spin over and over itself. It finds its home just under Zao's ribcage. One. The King is screaming, writhing on the ground. He makes the mistake of yanking my knife from his side. A pool of blood forms under him. I silently pray he drowns in it. Two. Ellis jerks free of his guards, and though his hands are shackled he puts up a good enough fight. Masked rebels storm the platform, attacking the small group of guards and freeing Ellis of his restraints. Three.

Now, I won't say that I had anything to do with the infiltration of our so-called top-secret underground base, or the destruction of half our networks across the States of England, but I will say, that when provoked, Assassins do not brush it off like an annoying flea. So perhaps the fact that our base was attacked, I was stabbed, and sent back in time to prevent two major deaths, was in fact my fault. When Abstergo Industries was attacked, I was given the job of taking the Apple of Eden to a safe place to avoid it falling into the hands of the Assassins. Until I was stabbed, fell to my death, and ended up in Boston two hundred years before I was born - give or take a few. The Apple sent me to the Revolutionary war to fix things. Turns out, England wasn't supposed to win the war. That's where I met Connor Kenway, an Assassin. My name is Alexandra Frye, and I'm a Templar. Disclaimer: I do not own Assassins Creed :) I also do not own any of the quotes, pictures, or videos. (The cover is mine though) IMPORTANT FOR PREVIOUS READERS: This is the Assassins Creed book (Altered Paths) from my other account for any readers who are wondering

From the Vanguard Press imprint of Pegasus Publishers (U.K.) comes As Below, So Above by author Julian Collins. As Below, So Above is a book of poetry meant to instill a postmodern sense of Greco-Roman self that can sustain the reader through an emancipatory struggle. Delving into the depths of the Classical Underworld, author Julian Collins takes the reader on a visceral poetic adventure from the depths of Hades to the cockpit of a kamikaze pilot. From the betrayed voice of Lady Liberty to the napalm-covered fields of Vietnam. From the Catacombs of Paris to the burning palisades of Fushimi Castle. Through persona poems where he speaks from the perspective of another, haiku sets that enlighten and stream-of-consciousness, spoken word style poetry that engulfs the reader in an esoteric haze, Julian Collins aims to redefine the reach of modern poet. For As Below, So Above is not just a book of poetry - it is a spiritual declaration of revolutionary fidelity that transcends the page, the pen, and the poet.
