What if Beauty was also the Beast? In the Kingdom of Theluria, there was a village that was said to have been oldest village in all of the land.
Beside the village was a thick forest, through which there was a path. This path led to the most darling little cottage, that had sat abandoned and unkept for many years. Covering the house was all sorts of vegetation, but the most fascinating thing that covered the house, was the Roses.

These offerings always mysteriously vanished the next day, leaving no trace of ever having been placed on the doorstep. To the people of Kathura, this was their version of normal. It was something they didn't question.
That was, until a little girl of no more than six years old from a neighbouring village and her father happened to be passing through town. They were warned away by the village people, told that it was a sacred place only to be visited on the harvest and it was not the harvest.
But the father and child didn't listen. They wanted to see the pretty cottage, pick the pretty roses.
That was their mistake.
