A Reylo AU: The year is 1930. People are starving. Rey is starving. She was abandoned at a young age and when she ran from the stifling orphanage, no one seemed to care, for it was one less mouth to feed. She made her home in the train station and made her living begging for spare coins, as stealing was against her moral code. She stayed in the station because Rey figured that since she was left at a train station, her parents might frequent the train station. Rey's small delights in life came from the cat that lived in the station, imagining what her childhood could have been with different couples that come into the station, and her most favorite was to walk a block from the station and listen to the piano man. He was an old man. Bad fortune and becoming deaf had made him cynical. Unlike everyone else at the time, he was well off where money was concerned. He cared for a nephew whose parents had gone under in the Stock Market Crash. They searched for opportunities for work while his insane uncle took care of him. Ben hated everything about his situation in life. He hated his parents for leaving him. He hated his uncle for offering to take care of him. He hated his uncle for trying to teach him to play the stupid piano that he also hated. He hated that silly girl that always sat on the bench outside at 12:00 everyday to listen to his uncle play. (I'm sorry the cover isn't good, but it's all I could do, hope you guys enjoy this one)

Princess Kira was fleeing for her life after witnessing her grandfather murder her father. She disguises herself as a teenaged boy named Rey and hides in a small village. One day a knight, Kylo Ren comes to the village. Seeing the young boy living on the streets, he offers Rey a job as his squire to be his apprentice and learn how to be a knight. Having nowhere else to turn Rey accepts the offer, but what she doesn't know is that he has been sent by her grandfather to find and kill her. Can she keep her secret or will the young knight be her undoing? 2nd in New Adult in the Carnival Awards 2022

He smirked, he was quiet aware of the affect he had on her and hoped that in time it would be enough to switch her. They both had a struggle, with both sides pulling on them in two different directions. This fanfiction begins with the snow duel on StarKiller, but with a reylo twist... "Please," he begged. As the Supremacy fired another round of shots at the transports heading towards Crait, Rey made her choice. "Alright." Her tone was low but it was enough for Ben to hear her response. The young girl placed her hand atop of his, steading the tremble, keeping her eyes on him. As their hands joined, both of them felt enormous energy flow through their bodies. Rey recognized it from her stay on Ahch-to. It was the balance. Rey never knew her parents. She grew up in the Nima orphanage with her best friends, Finn and Rose. Rey had always loved to read, books were her escape. In books girls like her, orphans from nowhere always had amazing adventures, and discovered that their parents were really heroes or royalty. She loved all books, but her favorite was a new series that came out: The Starlight Chronicles. It was a science fiction - fantasy series that told of adventures in a far away galaxy. Rey quickly became the self proclaimed number one fan of the series, she wrote fan fictions on wattpad, made fan art, she had even written letters to the author. They became pen pales, best friends and she wants to meet him more than anything.

She wants peace. He wants power. But deep down, both want to find a balance. ( Based between and and after tlj and tros with an alternate ending) Rey sat at the Holochess table and drew her finger around the black and white squares. Black. White. Light. Dark. The separation between these two sides was an invisible line yet extremely prominent. She thought of him. The invisible barrier preventing them merging, is like the invisible line dividing his soul.
