This is just a short glimpse of how love in poetry can look and feel like. If you've ever been in love, are in love or search for love, dear reader, this is for you. <3

Thoughts. Words. Feelings. All of these are things we experience on a daily basis. Of course, it varies from person to person; how many thoughts we have, how deeply we feel, how we use our words. This is but my experience, shared with the world. My thoughts voiced for my own peace of mind. My words spoken for all to hear. My feelings bared, heart on my sleeve. The darkness within us all sometimes intimidates us, and we can all but hide inside closets where our masks and skeletons dance.

I'm just dropping in some poems that I'm proud of to try things out. You could read them or not.

My collection of poems that explore various amounts of themes from love, grief and other topics. A compilation of free verse, spoken word and inspirational poetry. I started writing back in the year 2000. I have two books I wrote for a class project when I was ten. Throughout my formative years I drifted away from writing. A piece here and a piece there, nothing more than a few lines. As of four months ago my partner convinced me to follow my dreams.... And I did just that. So, stranger, yes you, the reader. 2020 marked my return to writing rhymes after a 2 year hiatus It was a year full of ambition and a lot of preparation for projects that up until now I had no intention of bringing into the light of day. Salt & Honey is a collection of poems about the beauty and ache of being human. Through themes of love, loss, healing, and hope, each piece blends the sting of salt with the sweetness of honey, capturing life's bittersweet moments and the strength found within them. Inspired by my great-grandma, a woman who always saw the positive side of everything, strong as a rock, ready to forgive, always giving. Thank you for everything! We'll meet in between words and say bye with the sunset.
