In the silent reaches of space, the Silent Nebula-a force that feeds on "empty noise" and emotional numbness-has begun stealing the "Heart Melodies" of Earth's inhabitants. This is for everyone who's healing from love. If you find yourself suffering from heartbreak, loss of a loved one, grief, a situationship or trying to get over someone, this is for you. I hope you can find a little bit of peace in these poems . <3

The words evoke a sense of sadness and loneliness, as though the speaker is lost in a sea of emotions, unable to find their way back to the surface. The title is a powerful reminder that grief can be a confusing and overwhelming experience, one that can cause us to doubt our own perceptions and beliefs. Yet, amidst the pain and confusion, there is a glimmer of hope. The title suggests that the speaker is coping with their loss, even if it is all in their mind. It is a reminder that sometimes, the best way to heal is to acknowledge our emotions and accept them for what they are. "Enamored" is a poignant and heartfelt tribute to the power of our thoughts and emotions, and the strength that lies within us to overcome even the most difficult challenges.

Everyone is bound to submit to their own passion, but some will do it unconsciously, whereas some others will choose to. Said passion can be so cruel, leading us to unknown roads, steep and long, just to leave in a glimpse when we truly need to be held.

what drew your attention to this book? was it the delicate red rose on the cover? ... or was it its thorns? yes, the rose is daintily alluring, but you will only notice the thorns once you take a closer look. i like to imagine my poetry as this thorned rose, my carefully arranged words as its delicate petals: its beauty seemingly pleasing from afar. however, once you take a closer look, you will gradually see the thorns: a deeper and darker meaning disguised behind enriched metaphors. looking at the rose, you would also notice how it is hand drawn, denoting the fact that my poetry might not be perfect. it is intentionally written with some incorrect grammar (for instance, how almost all words are in lowercase) to give a more raw feel in the sense of how one may write down in a personal diary. the name "the rose comes with thorns" is not only an embodiment of my poetry writing style, but also the meaning behind it. just like how everything beautiful comes with its own flaws... ...the rose shall come with its own thorns. 🥀THE ROSE COMES WITH THORNS a poetry book written by huma zafar. #1 in "poem" out of 206k stories (2/5/24) #18 in "poetry" out of 336k stories (1/6/24)

I wrote all of my poems into an actual red book made around 1980 - somebody I knew was clearing out their house and I saved it from being thrown away. I fell in love with its immaculate blood-red faux leather covers and yellowed pages, and I diligently hand-wrote every sordid detail of every dark poem I'd written, once I thought they were 'finalised'. That little red book is now full, so I suppose it could be said to be a finished work. This book will include most of the poetry from my little red book, all of which centres around depression, hopelessness, unrequited love, love-dreams, death-fantasies, with SOME descriptions of gore, so please read at your own discretion. All of these poems were written by me. If you want to use anything from this anthology, just ask.
