The girl everyone in the small village thought was weird because of her skin tone, eyes, hair and name. She grew up four hours from the capital of Japan having american parents. Because of her appearance she didn't have any friends from day one, the other kids just acted like she didn't exist. With a very close and lovely family, having parents working at the rice fields owning a small company, Charlotte thought her life was wonderful. She enjoyed her company. If she just looked the same as the other kids her life would be normal. But she did never struggle with that. Even thought it sounds a bit weird, she liked herself, she also liked drawing and singing. It made her happy. Or so she thought, when Charlotte one day gets told by her own parents that she needs to move to another country alone and that the money they saved, which they could use for many important things for many years like a car was for her. The fact had her going crazy. Why weren't they spending the money on more important stuff? Well now she knew why. She was moving. She had never been outside the small village. She didn't know how internet worked since she never tried it. They had a rusty old radio to listen to news and music. They couldn't afford much. Not even internet. The family had one phone to use. Only to make calls, some kind of Nokia phone. But that was all normal. What she didn't know was that cancer had hit both her parents who was going to stay in Japan. They were just as close to death as Charlotte was to crying. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know, I also hate authors notes but please. My english is not perfect so if you find any grammatical errors or misspellings tell me! Leave your thought down below :) Also, keep in mind that all of this comes right out of my head, ( and a bit of google since I needed to know more about Japan )
