1464, the War of the Roses has been raging for nine long years. Two royal houses, Lancaster and York, fight for the throne of England. The young Edward IV has deposed his cousin Henry VI and taken the throne by force. Henry is still at large as is his hated Queen, Margaret of Anjou. I just lost my father almost 4 years ago during the Saint Albans' fight when I was only 10 years old. I used to live a good and modest life with my mother, my grandparents and my two little brothers but everything changed when Mother met the King. They got secretly married and he soon announced the news. Mother told me that the news was not well taken by everybody and that we should be careful now that we were at Court. The King asked my mother's hand driven by love while he was promised to another Lady, the Bonne de Savoie. My brothers and I needed protection, especially because we were not from a union with the King, so therefore, we were not royal. We actually all needed protection because my mother was pregnant with, we all hoped for, a baby boy. I knew she wanted to give Edward an heir as soon as possible. Richard III - Grace Woodville (i will let you choose how you see this character :) ) (English is not my first language so this story is a challenge for me, hope you like it ♡) I DO NOT OWN THE WHITE QUEEN OR ITS PLOT AND CHARACTERS. EVERY CHARACTERS AND THE PLOT BELONG TO THE CREATORS OF THE TV SHOW AND THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOKS. I ONLY OWN GRACE AND SOME ADDED CHARACTERS, THEIR PLOT LINES AND DIALOGUE IN THIS STORY.

She bends, she listens, she remembers. And the realm underestimates her at its peril. 👑🌊🧵 In a court that prizes volume over vision, Alyssa Woodville survives by being overlooked. Younger sister to a queen and shaped by a pronounced curvature of the spine, Alyssa has learned early that stillness can be a weapon. At barely one hundred and fifty centimetres and light as a winter cloak, she is dismissed as fragile, ornamental, easily managed. Yet beneath her braided dark cherry-red hair and watchful ocean-blue eyes lies a mind sharper than the blades brandished by kings and kingmakers alike. When Alyssa is married to Richard Plantagenet, Duke of Gloucester, it is thought a convenient match. A quiet girl for a quiet prince. What no one anticipates is how perfectly they understand one another. Richard, underestimated for his reserve, finds in Alyssa a partner who reads the world as he does. She counts loyalties like chess pieces, listens where others boast, and sees through ambition with unnerving clarity. While Edward IV and George of Clarence dote on their little brother's wife, indulging her gentleness and shielding her from courtly cruelties, Alyssa watches. She studies power, unpicks politics, and out-thinks even the great Earl of Warwick, who mistakes her silence for insignificance. This is a story of love built not on spectacle, but on trust. Of a woman who does not seek to rule, yet changes the course of England simply by understanding it better than anyone else. In the long, blood-stained corridors of the fifteenth century, Alyssa of Gloucester becomes the soft-spoken constant that history never saw coming.

History forgot her. The curse did not. Theodosia is the bastard daughter of King Edward IV and Lady Eleanor Talbot-quiet, kind-hearted, and sickly from birth. Though hidden from the court for years, she is not unloved. Edward keeps her close, a delicate shadow behind the throne, his most guarded secret. But secrets in a royal court never stay buried. When Edward marries Elizabeth Woodville, Theodosia's place-and safety-begin to unravel. Elizabeth, jealous of the girl her husband calls his dove, invokes a forbidden curse. What begins as whispered words in candlelight soon coils itself around the York court, targeting not just Theodosia, but the Kingmaker, Warwick, and the ambitious Duke of Clarence. As death, madness, and betrayal seep through the House of York, Theodosia begins to suspect there is more behind the crown's fall than ambition alone. Shadows gather in every corner. Allies vanish. And her mother's past may hold the only key to breaking the curse... if it isn't already too late. A forgotten daughter. A queen's wrath. A kingdom cursed from within.
