She goes to school with her best friend Luke and dreams of being a singer one day. Even though she's got a lot of problems with her family she still continues her life and tries not to think about it too much. She never thought that only one person could change her life completely and nothing will be as it was before this boy with the blonde curls ran into her in the hallway. Neither did she think that she would be standing in front of thousands of people as a support act for Bon Jovi. So who knows what life will bring after this? Or is there even an "after this"?

I knew what he was. I read about shapeshifters and there was no doubt that is what he was. Shapeshifters never age till they stop phasing, Richie never really aged till he turned 50. He was incredibly warm, like a furnace. There was no doubt I loved him unconditionally and whole-heartedly. From the very depths of my soul I loved him. But how could that be? How can anyone love someone this much? Unless, they had been imprinted on. I had a strong feeling that he imprinted on me. I mean really, shapeshifters can imprint on young children and even babies and Rich had been by my side since I was born. Protecting was another sign. An imprinter protects his imprintee till the day he dies. Everything made sense now though I would never expose him to the world.

Harper Lawrence is a thirty-two-year-old dancer. After performing at a New Years Eve show in New York, with Bon Jovi playing live music, she runs into Phil X and begins talking to her. They exchange numbers and then depart. About half an hour later Richie Sambora, who was in the crowd watching, approaches her and begins to hit on her as well. They also exchange numbers. Harper now has to decide who she would rather date and eventually marry. (Phil and Richie are both single in this)

One night, the band gets a surprise on the doorstep of their studio. What it is will change their lives forever.
