Ariana Beckett is in pre-k. And her mom, Kate Beckett, just so happens to be her teacher. On the other side of the school building, Alexis Castle attends the sixth grade. The new school year starts with a new english teacher, Richard Castle. Her father is her teacher. Richard and Kate bump into each other in the hallways. For Mr. Castle, it is love at first sight. For Ms. Beckett, she thinks she found a new friend. Esposito and Ryan are the gym teachers. Lanie is the health/nurse. Montgomery and Gates are the principals. Johanna is alive.

Rick and Kate were friends ever since kindergarten. One day they were playing truth or dare with their friends and they were dared to sleep with each other. After a few months Kate got engaged and found out that she was pregnant but unfortunately the baby died. Who was the father? Is it Rick or the fiancé?
