La familia Smith se está preparando para celebrar una gala ¿la razón? el menor de los descendientes estaba de cumpleaños y ademas, había recibido una carta de un reconocido museo de la ciudad para exhibir una obra suya nunca antes vista. Si lograba hacerlo, Mortimer debutaría como uno de los artistas más importantes y talentosos. Pero había un problema, el pintor se había quedado sin inspiración. Morty nunca se hubiera imaginado que una azúl "inspiración" estaría presente en su elegante fiesta.

One day at Bird Persons house, Morty found a picture of him that looked a bit younger and was standing next to someone who looked a lot like his grandpa Rick but only younger. It looked as if they were in a band. Bird Person said he could have it and told him he was in a band once. Since then Morty has listened to every song of The Flesh Curtains and was a huge fan without Rick knowing. Maybe one day he could ask Rick to go to one of their concerts.
