Secrets between the two cause tension between them, as Ricky tries to protect Tinsley without him realising the monster he really is. Mature themes like murder, swearing and mentioned NSFW. Alana Hill has been dead for a while. You may think that spending your death as a poltergiest would be interesting, but not really. So she spends her time lurking in the cemetery where she was buried. Until one day, a man walks by her grave, and, unbeknownst to him, her soul is chained to his being by some supernatural luck. Oh well. Little did she know, this was when her dead days would get interesting. Months later, Alana is just trying to keep her charge from dying a heart attack when she learns something that would change everything. Ricky Goldsworth has fucked up this time. Angering the leader of the Mob might've not been the smartest idea but hey, they mucked up his coat. Madej decided to check out Earth from one of his captures and retrieve missions (capturing and retrieving a dead soul of a very bad person) and he learns of the beauty of this planet and stays. Eons go by and hell forgets he left and forgets him altogether so he lives in peace on earth. He earns a job in BuzzFeed and lands a role as a ghost hunter alongside an individual named Ryan Bergara. He plays the skeptic role well besides the "believer" Ryan. Ryan is not exactly normal either, he is possessed by a 1920's Mob boss named Ricky Goldsworth. This ghost has such a similar soul to him that he just merged souls one day and hasn't been rid of him since. Ricky helps Ryan out in paranormal investigations by telling him where to look or where NOT to go. Ryan himself cannot see the ghosts or what happens around him in that sense but Ricky can, since ghosts are so common to him he only alerts Ryan on investigations or if a really bad spirit that could hurt him pops up. When their paths cross, how long will it take them to discover that neither are without their own Paranormal Problems? C.C Tinsley is a detective with the force and absolutely despises all the rules and confining nature of the job. He wants nothing more than to become a successful private eye but business isn't exactly booming until he meets a mysterious man who agrees to help him with some cases of his own/takes place in 1930s America

Shane thought there was fear, too, but he didn't want to think about it. He didn't want Ryan doting on him and taking care of him, sure, but he didn't want to freak him out, either. "I can't cross the salt line," Shane confirmed. "I don't know anything. I promise, it's not. Something I test regularly." He chuckled. Ryan leaned back from Shane, watching. It was as if he didn't hear anything Shane had said. He probably didn't. He only inspected him. "Oh my God," Ryan breathed out. "You can't cross the salt line." He trailed off as he glanced up, horrified at the sight before him. Rose's eyes glistened, despite containing a black deeper than the mind could imagine. A pair of dark, mangled horns sprouted from her head, contorting and twisting to create a crown only the devil himself could fathom. But the thing that terrified Tinsley the most wasn't the newfound horns, or the eyes, despite him being able to see his own fearful reflection in them. It was the smile. Deep crimson blood dripped from fangs that peeked out of wickedly curved lips. Rose slowly leant forward, and a single drop fell into Tinsley's abandoned coffee as he watched in horror. "You see, Charles," she purred, running a cold, slimy finger down his face, "some people never left."
