He wants to help her, and most importantly, he wants to let her know that he is there for her and that he believes - no, knows, that she is beautiful and everything to live for. No matter what anyone else says. And Nesryn feels like she is hated by everyone, and she knows that she is hated by Ricky's band mates. Chris and the guys hate her. Ricky is also determined to fix that, but it doesn't really turn out the best.
