Just a fun fanfic that goes along with the storyline of Top Gun Maverick! I did change Phoenix from the movie's callsign to Raven just as a heads up. Trevor has one problem: he used to be in love with Adam Cole. Not the puppy dog, batting eyelashes type of love, though. It was the heart beats faster, rendered momentarily speechless at the sight of him kind. But it's been years; he's over it now, of course. However, when Trevor arrived in an NXT ring, the first person he locked eyes with was Adam. Even if everything he felt for him in the past didn't come flooding back, Trevor wasn't overlooking the significance of that. Although he should probably keep his distance, he doesn't. Couldn't if he wanted to, because their paths keep intertwining, the on-screen chemistry they share threatening to push the boundaries of the bond they've built off camera. Almost like fate, old feelings and memories suddenly start to dredge back up without prompting, all due to the words "free food". And just as Trevor starts to break down the reasons why falling in love is more painful to him than falling out of it, he runs into the mother of all obstacles. Because somehow, in the midst of it all, he becomes Adam's devastatingly handsome fake boyfriend. Trevor has two problems.

It's not the greatest ability, and he gets teased and bullied regularly because of it. Louis Tomlinson is rather popular in the school, however. And that's because he can produce fire out of thin air. He's the loved one, the popular one of the school. Everyone wishes they were him. When a threat arises from inside the school, a threat that gives way to a darker time, Louis and Zayn, two boys who have barely said one word to each other, are put together as a team to help. Will they be able to work together, and help save the school, or will they not be able to put aside their differences, and have it where the school falls to Fire & Smoke.
