Richie and Eddie have already fought a killer clown, but apparently the real horror is being partnered for a school project. Between library "non-dates," color-coded folders, and Richie's terrible jokes, the boys stumble into a slow, ridiculous path toward something neither of them is ready to name.

It's been a year since the Losers defeated the demon It. Eddie's mother hasn't been as protective over him ever since the time he yelled at her, which means he's been able to hang out a little bit more. Richie has been picking on him more than usual. But everything changes after there's a sleepover at Bill's house.
