Consumer_Sadness
The way Jack snuggles into his chest, seeking comfort but almost as if trying to hide himself. His eyes flutter, staring at Bruce's skin as if looking anywhere else would reveal too much. Then, in the quietness of the room, he mumbles. Small, almost afraid to admit it. "Sometimes it feels like...there's more to us. Something missing, something big."
Bruce, now much more alert, sits up. Jack follows his movements, though still keeps his head down even when Bruce forcefully grabs his shoulders. "What do you mean?" Bruce asks, almost a desperate plea. The first few words of normalcy he's heard in days, and yet his excitement quells as Jack looks away.
Curling in on himself, Jack huffs. A pathetic kind of laugh, almost unsure with how to feel. "I don't...I don't know"
