Original Story here on Wattpad. No other accounts made. This story is meant to explain events prior to Rift Apart to build up Rivet as a character. This is meant for imagination only as we don't have a fully done back story for Rivet's behavior, and I don't own Rivet as a character, or the world(s) she shares. Those are owned by Insomniac Games.(if you need a writer IG, totally game for that.) Backround we know: unlike her dimensional counterpart: Ratchet, Rivet distrusts robots, and for that matter, most people due to the regime she lives in. That of Emperor Nefarious. Before Rift Apart, Rivet was already hailed a hero in her galaxy, despite never actually having won a fight against the Emperor. Her distrust is a huge and important part of her character we barely scratch in-game due to a good momentum of story with only sprinkles of who she is. Her canon outfit(non-armor) has a scarf to it, despite her living on acid swamp world like Sargasso. Some of this story is told from Rivet's POV, from the POV's of others, as well as just story narration. Things this story is meant to touch on: Rivet's early life before the Resistance. Rivet's reason for eventually joining the Resistance. Why Rivet wears a scarf (not really important, but details are nice..) Her distrust for robots. The loss of her arm. Why she simply refuses to give up. Meeting Pierre Keep in mind, minus her distrust of robots, and the loss of her arm, none of this is canon.

Whilst investigating a Hive ritual, a Hunter named Y/N gets flung from his dimension into a new and unfamiliar one. There, he has no way of getting back to his dimension, has no help/contact with the Vanguard, and his Ghost Luna is out of commission. Now, he must make his own path in this unfamiliar galaxy. Will he make new allies here? Will he be stuck in this dimension forever? Will he find solace with a certain Lombax? What'll happen to this Guardian From The Rift? (You might notice that I added an 'ed' to Rift Apart. That's because I have to, it's a fanfic. Also I added it because I can) "I was a huge fan of the Ratchet and Clank video game series. So, it's only natural that I'll spend over a thousand dollars on the new console and new game, which was Rift Apart. "I was playing, and I was at the point where you're going into rifts left and right, up and down, diagonally, upside down, and bent over. I never would've thought that I would enter a rift myself and get taken to the dimensions of my favourite game."

A young man named (Y/N) was popular in his dimension. This young lad was Human instead of Lombax since he lives on earth. Young (y/n) was going about his day normally and had a party with friends till rifts started opening out of nowhere throwing out random creatures, ships, etc. The government put the whole planet on lockdown but young (y/n) wanted to investigate. After a heated argument with Rivet, his counterpart, Ratchet finds out that she was having nightmares and was not telling anyone. This troubles him since he cares about her and was having some feelings for her. But when he hears whimpering from Riv's room, his "lover instincts" were put to the test.

This story does contain spoilers for Rift Apart. It is set directly after the ending of Rift Apart. Be warned, spoilers ahead. Following the defeat of Emperor Nefarious; Ratchet, Clank, Rivet, and Kit begin to rebuild their lives. Only to find Emperor Nefarious survived Bubbles the Kraken. Y/n had been friends with Ratchet and Clank since the beginning of thier adventure. As few years passed and on the celebration Dr. Nefarious returns and tries to steal the device Clank created for Ratchet to help him find other of his kind. But the accidental destruction of the device starts destroying the reality as they land in diffrent universe as they have to work together with Rivet who's also a lombax as Ratchet to repair the universes.
