Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart "TAWHEED: Oneness of God" by Shumaila Farooqui The very basis of the religion Islam is the faith & belief in Only One God - Allah. It is the belief in One Almighty who is the Creator & God of Adam, Abraham, Budha, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad. (May peace be upon them). The Creator & God of all other Prophets & Saints, of every Man , of every Woman & Child. This one God is the only Creator & King of the Universe, the Heavens, the Galaxies, Milky Way, Solar systems, all other planets & this humble Earth. The Creator of the Sun, Moon, Stars & the skies. Allah is the only Creator of all creatures big & small. The microscopic organisms, the fish & all sea creatures, the insects, the birds & the beasts. The Creator of Mountains, Forests, Trees, Bushes, Plants, Flowers or a mere seed. The Creator of the Oceans, Seas, Rivers & Lakes. The Creator of Gold , Diamonds, Rubies, Pearl, Coal or a mere stone. He is the Creator of Minerals, Chemicals, Oil , Gases, Water & Springs. The Creator of Matter & Anti-matter & all things known & unknown ! It is this God - Allah that is the Greatest & Supreme that everyone of us must believe in, put our trust in, worship & ask for the fulfillment of all our needs & wishes, for every problem or anxiety big or small. It is He who has the power & resources to do Everything. " Nay, Allah is your Patron, Lord, Helper, Protector and He is the Best of Helpers " Reference : The Holy Quran, Chapter: Al-Imran, Verse : 150

A girl deeply in love but trapped in a relationship she knows is haram. Each chapter reveals a memory from her mind-moments she treasures, even as they remind her of the wrong path she took with him. Every time his name is mentioned through this story, an overwhelming urge fills her heart to pray, not for what they had, but for a reunion in a way that brings them both peace-a halal way, free from shame. Her journey is one of hope, love, and faith, as she longs for a future where their love can be blessed and pure, in line with Allah's guidance.

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "The Long Road Ahead..." We see the wounds - the ones that are outside, and our heart goes out to them. But do we see the pain and suffering inside? These are the more fortunate survivors of the Pakistan Earthquake who thanks to the magnanimity of the UAE Govt. have been flown in with their attendants so that they can be healed and sent back. There is 13-year old Muzammil - he is asleep, but tears are running down from the corners of his eyes. He is sweating profusely from the fever he has as a result of his wounds. "Muzammil" says the Nurse, gently, very gently, "You have visitors." He opens his eyes and there is a look of sheer terror in them. Then he realises that he is away from the quaking earth and destruction in which his entire family perished.

I want to share some really beautiful lines. Their beauty lies in their truthfulness. إن جميع مشاكل العالم البشري تعود إلى عدم طاعة الله ورسوله.. ولحل جميع هذه المشاكل يجب علينا تحكيم القرآن والسنة، وأخذ العلاج منهما وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۖ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ يُعَذِّبْهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا [الفتح: 17 Rough translation: "Indeed all the problems of the people of this world go back to the disobedience of Allah and His Prophet s.a.w. And for the solution of all these problems, it is incumbent upon us to establish the Quran and Sunnah as the final order (hakam). And take the cure from both of them." Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "Make peace.....its one of the noblest things" by Asma bint Shameem We decided to meet for lunch. We were all excited. After all, we were getting together after a long time. As we sat at our table, we started talking, catching up on all that had happened in the past few years, when I noticed a bit of tension developing between two of my friends. Then, all of a sudden, right before my very eyes, before I knew it, it blew up into a horrible argument. Angry words flew between the two of them and before I could do anything to stop it, both my friends stormed out of the place, vowing to never talk to each other ever again! "Subhaan Allaah! ....what just happened here?" I said to myself, trying to digest the horrible incidence that just took place. Two of my dear friends fighting with each other!

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart "Never Forget" By Asma bint Shameem Never forget that Allaah is forever watching you Always remember that Allaah is watching whatever you do. He sees what you do in the middle of the day and He sees what you do in the deepest part of the night. . He sees all. He hears all. There is nothing that escapes Him. If you are alone, He is the second and if you are two, He is the third. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) where soever you may be. And Allaah is the All-Seer of what you do." (al-Hadeed:4) "Not a word does he utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it)." (Qaf:18) Remind yourself of this as often as you can and throughout the day and before you sleep....every time you do something....and every time you speak. In fact, aim to make it your thought with every breath you breathe.

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "Fazail e Qurbani" by Unknown After the blessed month of Ramazan, the month of Zilhajj holds immense importance in the Islamic calendar. In the month of Zilhajj, Hajj has been made obligatory on the well off Muslims just like fasting has been made compulsory on Muslims in the month of Ramazan. Like Ramazan is a month of acts of goodness, likewise the good acts of first 10 days of Zilhajj have great reward then the acts of goodness of any other day. Holy Prophet (SAW) said, "there is no other day the acts of goodness of which are more liked by Allah than the ones of these 10 days." (Sahih Bukhari) The actions that should be performed during the ten days of the 1st ashrah (10 days) of Zilhajj, whose importance has been highlighted in ahadith, are as follows and one should make an effort towards them in order to attain reward.

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "Advice to the Youth...Now that Summer is Here." by Asma bint Shameem Whew! Summer is finally here and school is out for a whole two and a half months. No more books and backpacks, no more tests and tensions....its time to relax and enjoy! Surely, you worked hard during the year and you deserve a break. Surely, you want to unwind and enjoy yourself. That matter is understandable. Islam certainly allows for rest after hard work but under certain regulations. Hanzalah bin Aamir once complained to the Prophet (pbuh) that some of his time is intermingled with playing with his children and family. The Prophet (pbuh) answered him, "But there should be a time for this and a time for serious deeds." (Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim) But the question is....to what extent should you go in spending your summer vacation? What is the essence of vacation? Does it mean mere pastime, attending parties, and hanging out with your friends without direction or purpose? Does it mean twiddling your thumbs, idling away the hours? Or watching satellite channels and playing endless video games? Or letting the gaze wander free? And what are some of the positive things in which this summer can be spent? These are questions that every conscious Muslim who is concerned about his free time, his Aakhirah and the welfare of the youth should ask himself.

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "How Big is Your Light" By Asma bint Shameem You're sitting comfortably in your room when all of a sudden, the electricity goes off. It becomes completely dark. Pitch BLACK. You can't see a thing. Although it is your own house, life comes to an inconvenient, complete halt. That's because you can't see a thing! You dare not move, in the fear that you may knock something over or worse still, you may stumble and hurt yourself. Uncomfortable and unnerving, isn't it? Now fast forward to an unknown time in the future......when it will be dark like this and even worse..... when you.... and I...... and all of mankind.....will be gathered in the dark, in front of a bridge..... a bridge that is sharper than a sword and thinner than a hair..... a bridge called as-Siraat.......the bridge over Hellfire.

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "The Best Day On Which The Sun Has Risen - Jumuah" By Sister Manahil Edited by Imran Ayub Alhamdulilah. Indeed, all praise is due to Allaah. We praise Him and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allaah from our souls' evil and our wrong doings. He whom Allaah guides, no one can misguide; and he whom He misguides, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no (true) God except Allah - alone without a partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His 'Abd (servant) and messenger. Allah, the Most High, says, "O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salât (prayer) on the day of Friday (Jumu'ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allâh [Jumu'ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salât (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing), that is better for you if you did but know!"

I ache to be closer to Him Closer than I have ever been I long to feel complete Then tears and Earth meet. I thank You for Your gift. Through these thoughts I sift. And regain focus on You. I know my faith is true. Accept my Prayers O Lord. Forgive me O Lord. Guide me O Lord. Help me O Lord.

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "Love For the Sake of Allah (s.w.t)" by Unknown I had last night what I call one of my 'wow' moments of Ramadan. As we started to make the suff for esha salah at our masjid, and I, concentrating only on joining feet to feet and shoulder to shoulder, was taking my place next to this lady, she turned around, looked me full in the face with a beautiful big organic smile, eyes shining, and said: 'Sister, I love you!' For a second there I was totally nonplussed, as my automatic response system searched frantically for the correct Arabic reply to this taught by the Prophet saw....the imam was reaching the end of his iqama...the sister was still smiling at me expectantly....(my mind was racing: Did she know me? Did she recognize me from somewhere? Did it matter??!!!) Then Alhamdulillah some good instinct kicked in...my arm went round her shoulders to give her a warm squeeze and I was able to mumble something about loving each other for the sake of Allah, and Allah accepting all our good deeds and intentions in this blessed month, on this powerful night.....hoping my gesture would convey what I couldn't put in words very coherently.....phew!!!
