His time with the rest of the chain has been nothing but enjoyable. It's like a big, chaotic family. Despite his joy in being included in such a wonderful group, a deep, lingering sadness stays rooted in his chest, burrowed deep in his heart. The knowledge of what's bound to come stays in the back of his mind, no matter what he does. It gets harder and harder to keep smiling and reassuring everyone he's fine, especially since with each passing day that becomes more and more of a lie. He doesn't know how to tell them, how they'll react, if they'll treat him differently... How does one tell his family he's not exactly alive?

This is part 2 of my fanfic series, so If you haven't read the prequel of this story "Botw Reimagined: The Past", I highly recommend reading it before starting on this if you don't want to get confused. Moving from the past of breath of the wild, we finally get to the game portion of the story. (Story) 100 years after the tragedy that was the Great Calamity, Hyrule has finally seemed to have regained its footing. However, the seal on Calamity Ganon seems to be weakening, threatening to break any day now. Fortunately for Hyrule, a hero who has been thought long dead finally returns from a long slumber. That hero is Link. After sleeping for 100 years, Link seems to have lost all of his memories, especially the memories of his failure to protect those that he loved. of course, All rights to any known part of the game go to Nintendo please Nintendo, do not strike me down before I finish this series.

Rebuilding is always the hardest part. Now that Ganon has been defeated, it is up to Zelda and Link to stitch up the remaining wounds of the past and rebuild Hyrule. However, for Zelda that is not such an easy task. The world she remembers from before is gone, eased away by the bleeding of time, a fact that she must learn to cope with on her own. Yet, there is hope for her. Despite the passing of time, Zelda is able to find a little slice of home. It's been 40 years since Princess Zelda and Link sealed away the Calamity. Hyrule has been rebuilt, Peace has been restored. But this does come with a price. 11 years ago was the Besiege of Hyrule Field. Zelda, Link, and Impa all fell, and the rest of the champions died as well. Now, the calamity is threatening to rise again, and a new generation will take the reins of saving the kingdom. Keria, the daughter of Link, and Princess Sheikah, daughter of Queen Zelda, are tasked to find new champions for the Divine Beasts. Keria is tasked to see if her bloodline will save the kingdom-Hyrule is resting on her shoulders if she is the new chosen knight. Not to mention the first female to wield the legendary sword.

Once Upon A Time, there lived a Princess and a Knight. Both were destined to save the Kingdom of Hyrule from certain demise. They, alongside four chosen warriors, were well prepared for Calamity. And yet... four years passed after the pulling of the sword. Many wondered if this prophecy of apocalypse was simply fiction. During this time, the Knight and Princess wedded and had two children, Lily and Hyden Bosphoramus. But on the day of their son Hyden's birth, that Calamity struck. Hyrule was taken by surprise, all four champions, Mipha, Urbosa, Revali, Daruk including the King were killed. In an attempt to save her husband and children. Princess Zelda, unlocked her power and temporarily sealed Ganon away in the Castle. Prince Link, alongside his children were kept in the chamber of resurrection until their fatal wounds healed. When he awoke, he vowed to protect his children from Calamity Ganon and train his daughter until she herself could unlock her promised sealing powers and seal Ganon. Only Lily, his only daughter, could seal Ganon away. For he was sure his wife was dead. And only he could defeat Ganon. For he was sure he was the only one to hold the sword.
