When Aislinn Silvertree was murdered 50 years ago her sister Rika Silvertree was left the only surviving member of the Silvertree clan. Two days later after Aislinn’s funeral, Rika vanished from the village of her birth, unable to cope with the constant painful reminders of Aislinn. For the next 50 years Rika lived in the human world with 3 companions, together they journeyed around slaying monsters, rescuing prisoners, uncovering ancient secrets and getting paid for it. She allowed herself to get lost in the rhythm of the daily fighting and exploring, the only thing to distract her from the pain that slowly ate away at her until she became numb. Then one day an elven courier delivered a letter that made Rika drop everything and head back home. This letter was from Rowan Icefang the elder of her village and her guardian after her and Aislinn’s parents died. The letter disclosed that Aislinn’s killer had been caught and Rika would no longer have to worry about him still being out there. For the week it took her to reach the Faewild she barely slept or ate and caught the fastest train she could. It took her another week to reach her home village, when there she went to the graveyard to visit Aislinn. Whilst there Rowan arrives having heard that a stranger had entered the village, he is surprised to find that the stranger is in fact Rika and after a short conversation they embrace, Rika glad that he was the first person she met and Rowan glad to see that Rika was safe after all those years away. In the coming weeks Rika and Rowan discover after an attempt on Rika’s life that the man they have locked up is not in fact Aislinn’s killer, they let him go and begin the search for the real murderer. Her journey will be dangerous but she will see it to the end no matter the cost.
