Starve, binge, purge, repeat. This is the cycle that Gerard Way has followed since he was 12 years old, from the moment his mother and his peers began referring to him with that awful word. The three letter word that made him lose all hope, all confidence, all happiness. "Fat." That word haunted him. It followed him wherever he went. It kept him in line. Part of him did it just so that perhaps someone other than his kid brother would notice him, worry about him, care about him. But no one did. No one, that is, until a chance encounter, with someone whom had been there the whole time, changed his views on others, and most importantly, on himself. This encounter made him realize that, amongst everything dark and evil in this world, angels existed and he had just fallen for one. (tw: ed, drugs, smut, abuse)

"Well, I'll put it to you this way," He turned around and wiped his hands on his apron, "I'd be a little more of help if I knew what bright purple looked like." //Fun fact: I'm colorblind. Not severely like Gee but I have a pretty hard time telling similar colors (blue/green/purple and red/orange apart)

Frank Iero is the new kid in school. It's his first day and Gerard Way was told to show him around. They become friends quickly and Frank climbs up that social ladder. They slowly, but surely, develop a crush on each other. But, after a while Gerard doesn't seem like his "normal" self. Mikey, Gerard's brother, also seems more depressed. They are both really happy kids most of the time. Everyone loves them. No one seems to notice this change except Frank. This leaves Frank wondering what goes on in the Way household and if he can help in any way possible.
