Everything happens for a reason, you hear. Well this happened for a reason.

Here at John Adams High, the school is divided into cliques. You've got the jocks, nerds, popular girls, guys and so on. Almost never do these cliques interact with each other. Sure popular girls might have crushes on popular guys but take a jock, for example, he would never interact with a nerd; not in a kind, friendly way at least. That's just how high school works. No one knows how the school was divided. It feels like it's always been this way. We just know that that's how things are meant to be and that's how things should stay. But what happens when people are taken out of their comfort zone and the high school everyone knows starts changing? When people start to change and unlikely relationships start to form.

She just released of the second half of her fourth album, Singular Act II, is rehearsing for tour, and filming for music videos and movies alike. Everything is going well for the 21 year old. Until she runs into her ex. The ex that nobody knows is her ex. The ex that broke her heart and made her cold. Riley Matthews is growing a name for herself as one of the only openly bisexual artists in the music industry who uses either gender neutral or female pronouns in her music, a model, and as an actress. The 21 year old having just released her first EP, Make My Bed, is grabbing the attention of young LGBTQ+ people everywhere. Her song, 1950, becoming universally loved by everyone. What nobody seems to know though, is who her EP is about, although many have thoughts that it's about her ex best friend, even though the two never publicly said they were together, even the other denying the two ever being a couple several times.

It's sophomore year. Riley may have dealt with some demons, but this year there is plenty in store for her and Lucas. How will she deal with the possibility of having to grow up too quickly? How will she react when Lucas comes back from Texas? Riley Matthews is a junior at John Quincy Adams. She is, as her friends likes to call her, a ray of sunshine. Riley is a open book at some point and others, she is a closed book whom no one can read. Riley looks up to only two people, her parents - Cory and Topanga Matthews. Their life story was Riley's goodnight story's as a kid. She has never used a person and she tries her best to not hurt anyone. But, to be able to not hurt anyone she always puts her feelings aside. But putting feelings aside is never hard when you're insecure about them, having a feeling that they aren't important. Lucas Friar is a new junior student at John Quincy Adams. He is, and has always been, the biggest bad boy from Austin Texas with girl throwing themselves at him. He, of course, uses them as tissue - use it once and throws it. But in everyones eyes he is Mr. Perfect Bad Boy, no matter what. He is a closed book whom no one has ever been able to read except his one best friend who is stuck in Texas while Lucas and his dad takes the first flight to New York.
