In the middle of her freshman year of high school Riley Matthew's mother gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to run her firms London Office. Much to everyone's surprise her mother accepts the job, forcing Riley and her younger brother Auggie to leave behind everything they've ever known. Almost three years later the Matthew's family moves back to New York and Riley comes to realize that everything has changed in the time she's been gone. Everything except her feelings for a certain green-eyed boy.

Riley Matthews lived in NY for the majority of her childhood. That is up until 6th grade when her father was offered a job in sunny California, which he accepted. Riley was forced to leave behind everything she knew, her school, her teachers and her small group of best friends. Fast forward 5 years where Riley and her family decide it's time to move back home. Now a junior in high-school Riley has to figure out where she belongs after being gone so long.

Summary: Summer of '18 is over and Riley and Lucas are in their Junior year of high school. They promised no matter what happens their friendships could never come apart. Will feelings interfere with that?
