Haruka Nanase and Rin Matsuoka used to be more than friends. They were partners, destined to grow up and marry one another, as they thought. When Rin moves to Australia to pursue his father's legacy, he leaves Haruka behind, forcing him into a slump that he can't get out of. Haru's friends become worried, and struggle to maintain their friend's life, but to what extent must they go? Tachibana Makoto finally had the guts to confess to his childhood friend Haruka Nanase, but everything didn't turn out well. Three years after, still having the same feelings for him, Makoto meets Haru again, but this time, there's already someone by his side and it's not him. Will Makoto be able to put up Haru's happiness first and continue hurting? Or will he be able to move on and find that happiness from someone who was a total stranger to him before?

Rin has finally let the depression from stress and end of year tests consume him and is planning on committing suicide as an escape from everything. After jumping he is soon saved by a blue eyed boy who disappears straight after taking Rin to shore but that doesn't stop him from checking the beach every day to find the boy with the captivating eyes. After almost giving up looking he finds a note written in the sand with a hint it could be from the mysterious boy & communicates back and forth with a system of writing in the sand. *I do not own the cover art for this fic*

Hey what's up I'm back with another rewrite! Just an fyi, I don't know much about depression but I'll try my best at writing this. If anyone feels offended by this I will take it down because I know this is an incredibly serious topic. Haru has a condition that none of his friends know about. And that's depression. Haru has been alone for half of his life and that effects his mental health, he also thinks he's not good enough. He always says he's fine to not worry his friends but in reality he's not. He's just stuck in this never ending dark place in his mind and doesn't know how to escape. What happens when Rin, Haru's soulmate finds out? Keep reading to find out. This story contains some triggering topics including cutting, eating disorders and suicidal thoughts, but no attempts of suicide. Please read with caution. Also if you're squeamish to blood or the mention of it you may not want to read.
