Tachibana Makoto is a doctor who is very experienced. He lives alone, or at least did, before he took the young, Nanase Haruka into his care after a his parents died in an accident. Haruka was only ten years old. Knowing that he would have a new parent, Haruka tries to be as well behaved as he can, despite the autoimmune disease he has, vasculitis. As well as the task of growing up with one parent, and it wasn't even his own.

After noticing Haruka's odd behavior, the Iwatobi Swim Team heard that Rin took him to Australia; They knew that everything would turn out alright since Rin knew how to solve situations most of the time, but what they didn't know was that this situation was bad, going to worse.

Swimming was never the same after she moved away, After she reunites with her old friends, theres something different within their friendships, but she can't work out what it is.
