Not all of our battles as a nation are addressed in textbooks. Most of our mistakes are masked or never mentioned. Because of this, history repeats without an inch of progress ever being made. Time pushes forward, but we never move.

Stories always start with the beginning of a new life, A life of some beautiful girl and how her dreams will come true if she believes. You never hear the story of what happens when people die at the prime of their life. What about what happens when a young girl dies just as her life is starting to look up? She dies all because of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The girl isn't special, She isn't a princess, or a law student. This story is about a 23 year old girl named Tori, who is going to collage to be a fulltime artist. She just got a new Girlfriend and she's winning the fight against depression. Why would she even need a story. Her life isn't that good, yet when she dies and learns that she is stuck permanently stuck spending her afterlife with a demon named Riot things seems to look like she may need a story. A story of how to become a demon, and hey, maybe it wont be all bad? Not all demons have to be damned.

Like the original story, I have chosen to start my story in media res and the story primarily focuses on Chika's perspective. However, unlike the original I chose to include a denouement by making sure the ending is resolved with "[Chika] arrives at her Aunt's home".

A planet where life could be sustained, Devin's evolved, a specie that all look the same, have the same name, and are distinguished through numbers. After the sudden retirement of Devin #1, the president, the whole planet goes into chaos. No one wants to work and instead are fighting for answers through protests. Others start doing crimes without the fear of persecution. Devin #4178 has the courage find the answer (knowing the retirement reason was a lie). Wanting to know what truly happened, why suddenly the president left. The Devin council meanwhile, are worried about the lack of president; not being able to coronate one from the riots and protests. Chp 2 Preview: 5 moved out of the way to allow the president to walk in and immediately walk towards the microphone in a perfect diagonal line. But after a few seconds without the president, she felt herself begin to worry. Her heart raced, she felt sweaty, and her eyes shifted all over the stadium. Devins stretched their necks and moved side to side to catch a glimpse at the hiding president. But when they realized he wasn't hiding, instead not there at all, they all looked at 5 with worried expressions.
