Witches did not have families, and did not fall in love. They were the people who would help, or destroy. As of course, there were evil and good witches. Kailani Light was a good witch who was for some reason chosen to be the mate of a werewolf Alpha. Alpha Kane Hades was a kind Alpha, but also a person who was protective of his family and friends. Some people disagreed with the idea of the mate pair. However, things only grew worse. Kailani soon welcomed a child into the world. This started the Hades Riots. A story used to scare children during campfire storytimes. Most believed the child died eventually though. During the riots in order to keep her child safe Kailani cast a spell on her and hid her far, far away from the reaches of the rioters. Kailani, moments after collapsed to the ground. Her heart burned and she knew it was her mate. Alpha Hades was killed and soon after they found Kailani and after humiliating and torturing her they executed her. What goes unknown to all the people and their descendants though is that the child lived. Her real name, Rani Hades. She changed her name though knowing if people found out who she was she would end up like her parents. Her new name, Raina Tavaria. She was raised by another pack, the Luna could not bear children so they took her in as their own. Only the Luna and the Alpha know their adopted daughter's secret though... She's a witch. She's a wolf. She is the hybrid.
