Kai is initiated into the "The Path," the Viking rite of passage. If he survives his rite of passage he will live amongst his Nordic brothers as an elite hunter and warrior; but if he fails this rite of passage he will never return. Kai's journey becomes a quest for truth and redemption, as he navigates the complex theological and political landscape, facing difficult choices that challenge his most fundamental beliefs about power, sacrifice, and the nature of divine will. The story blends elements of historical fiction, fantasy, and adventure, exploring timeless themes of identity, loyalty, and the struggle between individual agency and the forces that seek to control one's fate. As Kai's odyssey unfolds, he is forced to confront the harsh realities of war, the allure of violence, and the transformative power of faith, ultimately wrestling with whether true strength is found in conquest or found in surrender. - βš”οΈ Listen to the complete audiobook of The Path on YouTube: https://youtu.be/nd0n3rgMkFg?si=qayQ32jGSYc6WMTT πŸ“– The Path is now published in full on Amazon: Read/Buy here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GN2L6P8N

Weakness will betray you. Prince Troy lived a life his peers envied. But they didn't know he was still haunted by memories from the Quake. They didn't know he was living in the shadows of his older brothers. Nor did they know his father was ashamed of him for being different. After being humiliated by his brothers for sticking up for a new slave, this underdog now has something to prove to his father and himself: that he is strong, confident, and fearless. He's no longer competing with his brothers at home but a classroom full of privileged boys eyeing to be number one. Being number one will place him in the coveted school that will prepare him for the role handpicked for him. For Troy, it could finally mean winning the love and admiration of his father. But Troy is unaware that some of the most powerful lessons he will ever learn will extend beyond the four walls of the Grammaticus. What he's about to learn these next few weeks could shape him into the person he was meant to be or completely break him. The companion to Before the Legend brings a coming of age tale of friendships, conformity, and loss that transcends time.

This poem captures the tender moment when a child quietly steps out of the father's shadow. It's a day marked by triumph and nostalgia-a passing of the torch that deepens their bond. Far from a loss for the father, it's a proud reflection of the lessons he's given, reminding us that true love rejoices in the next generation's success. Ultimately, it's a bittersweet reminder of life's gentle cycles and the enduring ties between parent and child.

In Avisland, all citizens wear a sash on their arms. If they are not pleased with their lot in life, they may remove the sash. Their arms will grow feathers, the color and pattern of which determine where they may be permitted to go migrate to. At other times, it will tell them where they're to find a true calling or a lifestyle they will enjoy. But all tribes of Avisland fear Tribe Raben. Rabenites practice, the brutal and unpleasant: harrowing. It's a season of conscription and often out right abduction. Wren was one of the unlucky. Before her ceremony to leave her farming caste, her arms are revealed to contain the Raben's Mark. She flees to the town square revealing slick and black feathers. She pleads to the lands police, the Roostmen, for aid at the mercies of Goldfuast: the protector of her lands, her childhood friend, and local hero. None who suffer the Raben Mark ever reach a ceremony, nor do they escape their captures. One who receives a Raben Mark is doomed to become a Rabenite or Rabenitess.

Ever heard of a rite of passage? Around here one takes place just before senior year. Ever done a dare before? Ever thought about what would happen if you combined the two and upped the stakes? This is the rite of passage. They're not all extreme. Sometimes just needing to pull a few pranks or spend the night in the woods... but some times they involve a lot more than a few water balloons. Sometimes they mean needing to do something completely out of character. For example getting with two different guys or taking an almost innocent girls virginity then breaking her heart in front of everyone. Maybe even making everything another works so hard to hide known to everyone. oh, and they have from Monday until midnight on Saturday to complete it or its game over. Dares mean deception, secrets mean desperation.
