Uenoyama went from stable boy to knight in a single day after he was taken from his home because of his 'potential' and forced to start a new life in the city. After meeting the king, he was tasked with escorting the prince as he ventured out of the castle walls alongside some experienced knights. It has been a few months since Mafuyu had barged into Ristuka's life. Long enough that Mafuyu is actually decent at guitar and has written two songs.
